I have 3 account and I intend to upgrade to 5 man boxing. Therefore, I need to get 2 new account.

I can't decide which account A, B, C to link to the 2 new account. Will it be better to link account A to D and E, or link account A to D and account B to E and leave account C without any RAF xp bonus.

Any suggestion given will be appreciated. Thank you.

Link c to d than link d to e.

using your method you get 3 toons with 3x exp. If you went B>D and C>E, that would give you 4 toons with A as a booster.

also, u might wanna think about which account would benefit more from the grantable levels and set that up accordingly.

Thanks guy....so I should use a booster account C then link A to D and C to E which will yield me 4 account that will get RAF xp.

Will a level 72 Mage be a good booster as I don't have any level 80 chars. I was causal 3 boxing until the computer died on me a few month ago. Now I take this opportunity of getting a new motherboard and CPU that can handle 5 boxing to play 5 chars at one time. :)

old account 1 = account A old account 2 = account B old account 3 or the account with the 72 mage = account C new account 1 = account D new account 2 = account E
then, this is what you should do:
account A "recruits" account D account B "recruits" account E account C will not be linked at all since it is your booster account with the 72 mage72 mage is ok for boosting but i suggest you level it to 80. the extra talents and the gear helps quite a bit :) if you don't have the "motivation" to level to 80, then you might get sick of boosting early. think of leveling to 80 as a warm-up session perhaps? gl.

Thank you, yup that is what I meant. Ok, I will go level up the mage to 80 then start 5 boxing.

For grins, I was testing subbing out one of my lvl 26 hunters with a 60 shaman (account A) and I verified I still get RAF exp (on accounts B and C)
A linked to B and B linked to C
A was 60; B and C were 26, all grouped and the 26's (B & C) were getting RAF exp.

So when does the RAF nerf come in? When the booster is past lvl 60?

as i understand it, you have 3x 26 hunters on 3 accounts (daisy-chain RAF = A > B > C). if you replaced B with a 60, then none of them would get 300% xp.
there is no RAF nerf >.< or if by RAF nerf you meant percentage deductions to your xp gained when you have a high level on your team boosting you through, then yeah, normal restrictions apply, RAF or not.

When I speak of RAF exp, I mean in the messages in the combat window where it specifically says (## bonus exp from Recruit-A-Friend). That is how I confirm the whether the grouping arrangement breaks the RAF bonus.

If there is no RAF exp nerf why is it a common thought to not link the lvl 80 booster in any way shape or form to the other (RAF'd) accounts? Is it a popular misconception? A precaution? (No, I'm not referring to this thread specifically, just speaking in general.)

Well I've confirmed that having a character greater then 60 grouped and linked to other RAF accounts doesn't invalidate the "Recruit-A-Friend" exp bonus.

Account A (lvl 62) <-linked-> Account B (lvl 2) <-linked-> Account C (lvl 2)

I guess they (blizzard) still haven't nerfed this as they've posted on the forums. Well Im going to change my plans now and level each group to 31 or so and gift this one (Account A) to 60.9 run him through some early outlands to equip up and then reunite the "gifted" lvl 61 character back with his group to blow through quests.

And repeat.

Thanks Korrupter. I had been wondering that exact same question myself. That is really helpful to know.

I know the Scroll of Resurrection also includes bonus time to the recruiter when the friend subscribes. Does RAF have a similar month free for the recruiter?

Account A (lvl 62) <-linked-> Account B (lvl 2) <-linked-> Account C (lvl 2)
correct. and that was what i was trying to say.
this happens because accounts B and C are linked and meets the conditions of gaining RAF xp even if account A will have a level 80 toon in that party or not.
the conditions appropriate to this situation being: accounts B and C are linked, accounts B and C are within the level limit, the mob (or the quest) isn't 'grey' to any of the two raf'd toons...

naturally, if only accounts A and B are partied, the first being level 62 and the second being level 2, then there would be no RAF xp because mob IS 'grey' to one of the two toons even though they are RAF'd.

or i just don't know if we're talking about the same thing here >.<

if you are using the 80 to boost, no 3x, if you level a toon on A yes a<>b/c/d are same levels
