Im returning to EQ2 and am going to attempt to 3-box via Innerspace + ISBoxer. (thanks to everyone on this site for all the great info!).
The group im thinking of putting together is SK + Defiler + Coerc. Like i mentioned, it's been awhile since ive palyed but here is my reasoning.
SK - AOE tank which should make agro managment a bit easier for adds etc.
Defiler - Heals and DoTs
Coerc - CC + dps. i figured i could manage some tougher encounters with the Coercers CC ability.
Does this seem reasonable or are there some holes in my group make-up?

Hey there. I am somewhat new to eq2 boxing as well but I hope I can help.
I think it should work out pretty well. I run almost a mirror version of your team * SK, Mystic and Illy* and it has worked out very well for me. The defiler is great for the debuffs to disease and really compliment your SK. The thing I found was that while running them is that the mobs however never lived long enough the dots to do their work so I betrayed her to a Melee Mystic. I find that the damage she does really helps speed up single targets and her healing and wards more than enough to keep me up and going. I think it all comes down to personal preference to be honest. What I can say is you should have great results with either that you pick.
The healer is always a personal pref thing I feel. Alot will say Templar for buffs and heals. Others will say Fury for DPS, buffs, ports and regens. Some will say Shaman types for wards, buffs, debuffs etc. With an SK as your tank, anyone of them will fill the roll nicely.

Right now, I think everything is reasonable since there aren't enough of us to do any serious theory-crafting (or did we decide on theory-Questing? :P ).
I put a chart in the Wiki to show some of the benefits each class can bring to a group...but it still needs some work. I was anticipating the Spell name changes getting here sooner. :pinch:
I haven't tried a Coercer yet, so let us know what you think.
My current group is in my sig, and I like them so much I haven't created another alt-group for a loooong time. And for me, that is amazing....
