does anyone know if its possible to lower the minimum wow resolution on a mac? 800-600 is just big enough to not fit 3 on my two monitors
I haven't tried it, but I remember reading somewhere... ah, here it is! According to this thread - http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums2/viewtopic.php?t=1767 - it is possible to set the resolution in the file /Applications/World of Warcraft/WTF/Config.wtf.
Look for the line that says SET gxResolution "1024x640" and try to set it lower than 800x600. Hope it helps! :)

Hi all, I'm just playing around with boxing on my macbook pro at the moment, and hoping to get it set up nicely. I'm running into the exact same problem as this original poster (ages ago, I know). Does anyone know if it's possible to get wow smaller then 800x600?

Ok, do NOT have WoW running, and then edit the config.wtf and change the resolution
After that, do NOT enter the GFX settings ingame.
I do this flawlessly on my wow running Windows.

I tried that, I stuck with 4:3 aspect ratio, I tried things like 640x480 and 480x360 but when I start wow it changes back to 800x600. I even tried setting config.wtf to read only, of course then the setting does not get changed in the file but wow is sitll 800x600...
Keep in mind that I'm using my macbook pro, running osX leopard.
My plan B is installing windows XP, and see what performance I can get from that. But I would rather stay on osX
