Been looking with no luck maybe i'm just dumb but is there an addon that will tell you if its an upgrade to a slave?

You need to look at http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/altoholic.aspx. Does that and a whole lot more.

that appears to only be on an account set up, will it actually show you information about toons on other accounts?

Not if you log from different installations, of course. Which, I assume, is quite common among multiboxers.

That's right. And worse than that, the broadest scope of saved variables is account-wide so it won't even work if you run multiple accounts, which is even more common :)

I use altoholic, but I usually do the comparison on the alts themselves. Keep in mind that there is also a data sharing feature built in that allows you to give all your toon data to someone else with the addon. I haven't tried it, but if you keep the main updated with each alt, it might be possible to do a comparison for those accounts as well.

I just haven't played with it that much to determine if its possible. Also probably requires frequent manual updates to the main anytime equipment changes on an alt. Also probably doesn't handle dual spec comparisons very well (if at all).
