Keyclone has stopped working

Some background... I installed v1.9g as Administrator on Vista Ultimate SP1 64 bit. 5 boxing with a region 1 on main mon 24" res 1920x1200 regions 2 - 5 on 2nd mon 21" res 1680x1050 with regions at 800x600. I was testing and playing round with the software and got it working fine. Gamed for about 3 hours and then I i swapped my region1 and region 2 with the PiP command. My box froze up. I reboot, run keyclone, and get the "Keyclone has stopped working message"

To try and fix I reinstalled keyclone, set the shortcut to always run as admin, deleted the keyclone.ini, changed the keyclone folder permissions to be the same as administrator for all users. Not sure what to do here but always the same error.

hmph, weirdness. i was playing last night for 6+ hours constantly pip swapping while 5 boxing, no issues.
have you tried pip swapping just after starting fresh and sitting at the login screen?

please send me a PM with your keyclone.ini (unzipped pls) and i'll look into it. please edit out your account names in the command editor

I dont think I can run that test as I do not even even get that far. Here are my steps to recreate the issue



dbl click keyclone shortcut

click connect
then we see error "Keyclone has stopped working"



The ini is on its way.

About the ini i sent...I made it real simple. There is only one region with one command that points to one of my wow.exe's. This too fails with same error.

ahhh... a single wow won't run. that's something.

out of curiosity, when was the last time you ran wow stand alone? try logging in normally... do you have an EULA to accept? accept it... then log in... then out. this will force settings to be written by wow. for some reason, wow doesn't like running if you haven't accepted the EULA.

after that, run your command from keyclone and see what happens.

btw, i used your keyclone.ini and it started wow as expected. (i had to tweak the wow path tho)

I read your post and was like lol wtf...OF COURSE I logged in without using keyclone so it was too my complete suprise when I saw the damn blizzard movie start to play! The only time I see this is after a fresh install of wow.

Now I have been using these wow.exes through keyclone prior to the failure so wtf?

I can only guess that when my computer froze something must have been lost or a previous restore point of windows? I dunno but I am just tickled that it's working again.

Had this same problem. Blue screen of death after last login. After rebooting keyclone wouldn't work past connect. As state above wow was like bran new - vid popped up and the agreement crap too. Keyclone worked with method above.
