Question about Hand of Freedom

How come hand of freedom works like 1/2 the time? I get stunned with it up, and when I am stunned casting it dosnt always get me unstunned.

As far as I know, you can't cast it while stunned, but you can remove someone else's stun with it (with the thing that enables that part of it).

It can be used while stunned if you have the Divine Purpose talent. You may only have 1 point in it which only give a 50% chance to remove stuns. Also make sure you aren't targeting a friendly target while trying to use it on yourself.

Could be because you're trying to remove a "spell that makes you lose control of your character" that isn't a stun or a movement impairing effect? (and without the talent it only removes movement impairing effects)
