Our DPS use skills to do massive critical damage, our healers practice real life Wack-a-Mole at Chucky Cheese once a week and our tanks taunt UFC fighters. When we enter instances bosses walk up to us, drop their loot and kill themselves. Blizzard pays us to play. We date supermodels. We've all won the lottery. Our mages have Warglaves. We all have IQs above 180. Our private parts are so big that they go all the way from A to Z on the keyboard. We are all rock stars and may need to stop raiding for our world tour. We party with celebrities and mingle with the political elite. We leap tall buildings in a single bound. We have been on COPS twelve times. We do not talk about Fight Club. We test on animals. We won the Special Olympics. We are on a first name basis with Christopher Walken and Samuel L Jackson. taken from http://community.livejournal.com/wow_ladies/9987565.html

I'm our only feral raiding druid, so everyone calls me "bear" or "the bear" a guildie showed me this link in IRC and said

"[10:40] * nahlia waits to see bear taunt a UFC fighter"

lol pretty epic recruitment post imo.

I've seen a guild post a RL pic of one of their female members as a recruitment incentive, along with a brief audio clip of her talking on vent.

My guild is 99.99% male, mostly RL friends and friends-of-friends, with *one* female member who is the wife of one of the male members lol so that wouldn't work for us.

More and more guilds ive been in lately have alot of girls in them. Most of the time they are better players than guys, especially when it comes to healing.

But women make awesome healers. Some of the best healers I run with are of the female persuasion.

Heh. Our only girl player plays a rogue. In the past I've been in a guild where the GM was a girl and was MT. But I've also noted that many, many girl players play healers.

LOL well I didnt mean it like that but I do see the similarity. But at the same time in the cases i've seen It's 100% true girls are usually more capable than us button mashing guys lol.

Edit- In fact my last ally guild before I went horde had a female MT and she was very very good.

Take a look at this recruitment video ('www.youtube.com/watch?v=TW2u2cRPAwo') for the guild called Rogues Take Zero Skill (yes, the same guys that made the videos).

A-Z seems rather tiny... is this a guild full of gerbils?

edit: maybe they use Dvorak keyboard layouts too.. now THAT is leet.

I have two females in my guild.

1) Gnome Warlock (sister-in-law) - She's suicidal. She is by far the most rezzed member of my guild. :D
2) Night Elf Hunter - She likes to sit in the back and talk crap about her boyfriend (one of our healers). Good times. Then whine when her kitty dies. lol

In my 60 days running MC - a female in the guild was an absolute nightmare. The minute she's speak up (Korean Gal) - all the immature males would go nuts. Took like 20 minutes to calm them down. /sighThere's entire guilds like this on Madoran, soon as a female speaks on vent, ZOMG GIRL GIRL GIRL GIRL GIRL GIRL GIRL GIRL!

I remember my 40-man MC raiding days. We had an Aussie in the guild (who somehow managed to raid EST US evening raids). He had a Mac, back then Ventrilo for Mac didn't have push-to-talk so you'd hear the noise in his house. And he had a sister with a very sexy sounding Aussie accent, who would often have her girlfriends over. Everytime we heard them giggling and talking in the background many of the 35 or so males in the raid would go ga-ga.

Which leads me to: what are the sexiest accents on a female to you? Poll anybody? I'd have to vote for Southern US girls first, Aussie/NZ girls 2nd, French Cdn girls 3rd, and British girls 4th.

my guild forums has a RL picture thread, so you get the usual overweight guy, skinny pimplefaced teenager, etc... then me - the foul mouthed tattoo artist, then 2 french dudes who speak french in vent, then 2 soccer moms, the black man in Japan, 2 aussies, and throw in 3 more certified hotties. Farm content is crazy fun, but progression content on vent is a nightmare. We'll be talking about Sushi or something retarded on vent while the RL and everyone else is typing everything through raid chat instead of the other way around.

Aussie chicks sound real sexy, some british chicks sound cute, while others have accents that are like "gutter" I think the brits would consider it and it sounds like a car crash when they talk.

Girlz Cant Tank! :whistling:

A good friend of mine and his wife both play Tanks. She's the druid Off Tank to her her husbands MT. We always give her a hard time by saying that "Girlz Cant Tank...".

I wouldn't want to give her a big ego,,, but the fact is she's better than our MT. (Just don't tell her that)

You are obviously not in a serious/hardcore raiding guild. No serious raiding guild has more then 1 female raider at best. Female wow players are nice to chat with on vent sure, raid wise they're nothing more then a liability. I will say though, once in a while u will find that odd female player that is actually pretty good, but that's few and far in between. Most female wow players view WoW as a cool instant messanger with pretty graphics. :)

/thread derailed

My experience has been different. The last serious raiding guild I was in had 5 females; one was one of our better tanks, one was a lock, one was a mage who pvp'd all the time, and two were healers with one of those two being the priest leader. The tank would raid lead on runs for leveling alts. She was very cool and very good. The lock was a good player but she wasn't the best lock, but who cares about that? The other healer, not the priest leader, was a train wreck. She used to be a cop and would go on and on about getting shot in the line of duty and how she wasn't respected yada yada yada.

I work with a guy whose wife is the best geared player on their server, and he says there are 2 other female players in his guild as well. Aquaplex, your blanket statement works in certain cases but not all.

To the Original post, That's an epic recruitment advertisement, I've seen one like it on Elune recently, probably all copycats from an original

3a. Essay:
In order for the admissions staff of our college to get to know you, the applicant, better, we ask that you answer the following question:
Are there any significant experiences you have had, or accomplishments you have realized, that have helped to define you as a person?

I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice. I have been known to remodel train stations on my lunch breaks, making them more efficient in the area of heat retention. I translate ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees, I write award-winning operas, I manage time efficiently. Occasionally, I tread water for three days in a row.
I woo women with my sensuous and godlike trombone playing, I can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed, and I cook Thirty Minute Brownies in twenty minutes. I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Peru.
Using only a hoe and a large glass of water, I once single-handedly defended a small village in the Amazon Basin from a horde of ferocious army ants. I play bluegrass cello, I was scouted by the Mets. I am the subject of numerous documentaries. When I'm bored, I build large suspension bridges in my yard. I enjoy urban hang gliding. On Wednesdays, after school, I repair electrical appliances free of charge.
I am an abstract artist, a concrete analyst, and a ruthless bookie. Critics worldwide swoon over my original line of corduroy evening wear. I don't perspire. I am a private citizen, yet I receive fan mail. I have been caller number nine and won the weekend passes. Last summer I toured New Jersey with a traveling centrifugal-force demonstration. I bat .400. My deft floral arrangements have earned me fame in international botany circles. Children trust me.
I can hurl tennis rackets at small moving objects with deadly accuracy. I once read Paradise Lost, Moby Dick, and David Copperfield in one day and still had time to refurbish an entire dining room that evening. I know the exact location of every food item in the supermarket. I have performed covert operations for the CIA. I sleep once a week; when I do sleep, I sleep in a chair. While on vacation in Canada, I successfully negotiated with a group of terrorists who had seized a small bakery. The laws of physics do not apply to me.
I balance, I weave, I dodge, I frolic, and my bills are all paid. On weekends, to let off steam, I participate in full-contact origami. Years ago I discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down. I have made extraordinary four-course meals using only a Mouli and a toaster oven. I breed prizewinning clams. I have won bullfights in San Juan, cliff-diving competitions in Sri Lanka, and spelling bees at the Kremlin. I have played Hamlet, I have performed open-heart surgery, and I have spoken with Elvis.
But I have not yet gone to college.

I've had a pretty good track record with girls in WoW - the guild I was in for years was half girls, and they were a blast - we had everything from a 16 year old to a grandmother. The other guilds I was in, same thing - and two of them had women as guild leaders, and they were good at it. One was the main healer, the other was the offtank.

One of the best paladins I ever ran with was a very hot little number, according to Faces of Wow - she took her job seriously and played her butt off, and was the first one to show up for a raid, and the last one to leave. This was during vanilla, and she had a VERY good reputation on the server as a hell of a player.

I don't know, I don't mind women in my guilds and runs - but then, I'm not on WoW to pick up women, or do cyberstuff, and I don't play games or kiss their asses giving them stuff - and that makes a huge difference. They're just people, and they are as good and as bad as guys are, really.

As for serious raiding guilds not having women...that says all you need to know about a lot of "hardcore" raiders. 'Nuff said.

Well, clearly these folks would be using Dvorak keyboard layouts... which have A and Z on opposite sides.... ( A stays where it is, Z gets moved to next to right shift)
