Been a long time since I've posted here, so let me start by /wave. After playing all dps teams (minus my shaman team) I've decided to start what I have dubbed Team Last Stand (better name coming soon hopefully). The basic idea for this team was to be able to out last most world PVP fights. Of course burning my targets down with all dps has been fun and nothing beats watching someone trying to fly off on their mount with 4 sets of warlock dots on them but I was more so hoping to annoy people with this team setup. I was thinking using a dps warrior and maybe 3 pallies with the primary focus of keeping him and themselves alive while he slowly killed his target might be fun. I'm however slightly unsure on survivability of the paladins while maintaining a solid healing base. Was thinking the warrior would be arms/fury and the pallies all holy, but curious to know if anyone else has any thoughts on this. Yes I know leveling is a pain and prot for the pallies would be better survivability but I'm guessing their ability to keep the warrior and themselves up in a PVP situation would be severely compromised.

On a side note:

Had some guy whisper me the normal insults last night and the convo pretty much went like this:

Guy: Dude you fail.
Me: Not really only when I cook....damn that stove!
Guy: What?
Me: Yea that's exactly what I said.
Guy: No I'm talking about you fail because of the sh** you are doing.
Me: I know but I'm getting better at cooking, it's really because the stove sucks but my girl likes my food.
Me: But are you saying you might like it?
Me: Care to come over for dinner?
Guy: Omg what the hell are you talking about?
Me: So that's a no then?
Me: I promise to cook my best!
Me: You there?
XYZ player is ignoring you! (I forgot his name)..

I always like to say the most random idiotic thing that comes to my mind when somebody complains to me ingame about boxing. Keeps my stress level down...although I must say I mostly get normal questions and interested tells or "wtf lol"....

Didn't someone here make an arena team named "This could take a while" with a resto druid, disc priest and a holy pally?

Love the convo, as for the group of 4, I have one question. How long is it going to take you to kill a mob when you're not being ganked?

I've only been boxing a couple weeks, and so far have yet to hear of or see any other boxers on US-Shadowsong. However, I've had a number of people notice me doing it and had usually positive comments or just plain questions on "WTF you doing?!?"

Only thing close to an angry remark was when I was pulling entire fields of humans in Hillsbrad Fields, had a same-faction hunter PST me "Dood! Save some for me! PS That was epic watching your last fight vs what 15 mobs? <wink>"

Well the warrior should have pretty much endless amounts of rage since he can pull huge packs/areas of mobs and then just rotating the heals with the paladins so healing should seem pretty endless since it should be a decent amount of time before all of them would be to low/out of mana. Well that's the plan anyway ;)

sounds like a fun idea, personaly Id swop the paladins for tree's on the move hots would make things so much less stressfull.

p.s my cooking aint so hot too... Im soo telling the next whiner that, I loled loudly when reading the quote :)

Before dual spec I would be able to heal fairly decently as prot in my holy gear, I couldn't main heal a raid and didn't try even a 5 man but was a good off healer. I bet if you played with it enough you could produce a decent hybrid build that maximized survivability while still having acceptable healing. If you have 3 going they don't all need to be awesome. The biggest thing is getting a decent mana pool as prot and that is just getting gear with Int on it.

I have been thinking of a 5x paladin group. So much healing with 5x divine storm on a 2s rotation. stuns stuns stuns. 100% to crit while stunned. snares and a partridge in a a pear tree.

Having multiple dedicated healers in a PvP situation really makes the difference. I just learned that in Gurubashi arena and it lead to someone reporting.
I had 3 dps(a hunter to see who was coming, a mage and a shaman), a priest healer and a druid healer. Both healers firing off their emergency AoE group heal was just epic: It looked like my team was invulnerable for 10 seconds or so :D
For any PvP situation in the future, I'll just bring 2 dedicated healers and 3 dedicated DPS.

Give it a bit. Once your pallies start coming into their ret talents, the speed of the latter levels will make up for it. ;)

I would trade the pallies for druids

my 2 cents

Good luck
