Sony Vegas 8. Rendering 6 minutes of footage with sound takes 60 minutes!

Anyone got the same problem->solution->render settings?

My footage is 1600 x 1200 and i am putting it in my program as 800x600

what codec, render setup do u use?

I use

Windows Vista 64 bit
Quad Core Intel
8 GB ram memory

I use .wmp video 11 or 9
Quality best: the slider i have on sharpest. 800x600, my normal videos are 1600x1200.

Vegas is a cpu encoder, it takes time.
