View Full Version : Repeater issue

I couldn't find a prior post with anyone else having a similar problem so here it goes:

When I enable repeater from the current window to repeat mouse and keyboard to the alts I am frequently dealing with the alts locking up (the cursor shows up but won't follow the main's movement or keyboard commands) temporarily. After 10-15 seconds it seems to alleviate itself and starts working but until them I'm dead in the water. The CPU isn't pegged during this time.

The mobo drivers are off the CD; the Geforce are straight from NVidia when the system was built around 2 weeks ago.

The system is a x64 Vista Home Premium SP1 system, 4GB RAM, 275 Geforce, Quad Phenom. It's only been in use for about 2.5 weeks now and I'm still getting the hang of Vista and ISBoxer.

The foreground/background FPS is at 45/30 and all resolutions are at 1680x1050, 1x multisampling.

I've been working with Lax on this but I wanted to post here to see if anyone's dealt with this issue but was able to resolve it on their own?
I think this is more an issue with my system/configuration so any tips are welcome! :)

Ok, no feedback... lets try another approach.

If you're using IS for multiboxing WoW can you please share with me you're ISBoxer config for me to compare and test with? My config is for five shaman but anything will to do help me troubleshoot this.

Here you go... not the greatest setup I'm sure - but it works for me. I's a 1 pally + 4 x shaman setup.

Pause key toggles between 3 modes... chat mode (no repeating), repeater mode (mouse + keyboard repeated across all), and keymap mode (where only specific keys are mapped).
This has foreground windows set at 50 fps, background at 30 fps.
Some of the keymaps don't work like the ressurect, so ignore that one.

It'd be nice if more people shared their configs so we can all learn better ways to improve our setups. :D

I'll throw my config in the ring too, hopefully it doesn't confuse the issue for you. I'm on Vista x64 Ult. 8Gig ram, intel Q9450, with nVidia GTX 280 with all at 1680x1050, all settings on the clones at lowest and the main at lowest except view distance = maxed.

I run a DK, 3 Spriests, and a Pally healer.

I use Ctrl+t to toggle key repeating and Ctrl+U to toggle mouse repeating - I usually run with them both off after i get past the login screen. Maybe separating these functions will help instead of doing them at the same time?

Rather than hijacking the thread with the huge diatribe I had written about my config, I took Crucial's idea up and started an ISBoxer config sharing thread ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=21144').

Well enabling the separate mouse and keyboard repeaters made no difference.

I just flew to Camp T in the barrens, tested mouse repeater, worked fine. Went afk a few minutes (never moved) and came back from afk, tested mouse repeater and it froze up the alts again.

It seems like its entirely random /scratches-head

I don't get it.

After further testing it seems rather its just the keyboard repeater that locks up; the mouse repeater is working very well.

Korruptor, I've got a potential fix for you implemented.

The ISBoxer download is updated with the potential fix, but to be sure you're running the right version I've got a separate download up for you again:
http://www.lavishsoft.com/downloads/mods/Lavish.ISBoxerSuite.Beta.32.inputfixtest.exe

Let me know. If it solves the problem I'll make sure to do an official update.

Lax, the fix worked. The keyboard broadcasting is working perfectly!
