Anyone know of some games that are fun to multibox on that are free? (AKA Free Player-ran ultima online servers)
The problem with UO is that I cant see a way to effectively multi box.

First, why play on those private servers? Multi-boxing is for fun and I dont think there is anyone on those servers to share the fun with you.
Second, there are not that many free games I suppose. One came to my mind right now, it's Anarchy Online. Pretty much anything games that require clicking more than button-pressing is not doable or fun to play with.

most of the Free games are asian grinders... and most are click to move and dont have a follow command.
Games that Multiboxing does work for that are free....
Like the guy above said... Anarchy Online is about the only one I can think of.
If you dont mind paying your list greatly increases.
Dark Age of Camelot
Ever Quest
Ever Quest 2
WoW
Lord of the Rings
CoH/V
etc etc

Been trying Dungeon Runners, no follow and lots of alt tabbing but its just about doable... if you're really into the free thing.
You could also go with EVE Online which while you do have to pay you can if you work at it enough pay for playtime with the in game currency. And I know a couple of people who fund several accounts from their ingame currency creation... of course the multiboxing is a little different and far more macro management (not macros, though having those helps too).

There are numerous free ultima online servers that average over 500 players online. It may not seem like much, but its quite a few for the size of the world.
The largest free one has 1,200 players average. Plenty of people to have fun with.
The free UO servers are (depending on who you ask) sometimes better than the real servers.
SHADOWBANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best time I ever had playing a video game. Free now.

Oh right, Eve Online. Ninja is right that you can fund your account by earning in-game credits. I have played for about 2 years and I tell you it's not easy if you think 'oh I will start 5 accounts and the funds will flow in.' In that game, you need real time to train your skills. Your attributes will speed things up but not 'that' much. So basically, you have to first pay for your main account for several months so that your character can use an okay ship with okay DPS and okay tanking ability. Then you can think of adding more accounts, i.e. more ships, to form a group and act as healer, which in this game, you send energy to another ship to boost their shield or armor points. Purely PvE wise, despite PvP is the major part of the game, you will pretty much own the Lv4 missions easily and most importantly, quickly.
Yes, if you do the missions quickly, you earn cash enough to fund your accounts.
Hehe, too long a post~
Oh anyways, you should go play Anarchy Online, as I said before, if being free of charge is your major concern. Few years ago, people already did what we call today multi-boxing. Many people own more than one account and they open them at the same time so they can buff themselves. More than that, they can choose pet classes and things will get immensely easy. After the Shadowlands expansion, Doctors (the healer profession) can be the tank by using CH (huge heal spell) and if you stick 1 or 2 healing pets from the Meta-Phycisist class, you are pretty much invincible. And the MP DPS pets are insane as well and they will most of the time acquire nearby hostile targets, so no /petattack is technically needed. I am not sure if they changed it now though...
