upgraded to .9 and now will not brodcast

ok i upgraded to the new version did the licence transfer

now I can connect 2 comps but will not brodcast any keys between comps all my dnp list are clear

working away at it ..and now i can get it to use keys bewteen comps and the macros but all of my dnp buttons (wsad and return) are passing between comps...

maybe a new toutorial for 1.9 is needed to help people set it up again.



Still working on it...I can set the xp comp up with no problem and try to do the same on the vista but for some reason all the setting dissapear when i close it down and the dnp buttons still pass.. can i get some help here please...

it sounds like you have 'white list' checked. this flips the meaning of the do-not-pass from a 'black' list (meaning DON'T send the keys in the list) to a 'white' list (which means ONLY send the keys in the list).

make sure it's unchecked.

otherwise, v1.9 configures pretty much the same as v1.8k

no the white list isnt checked on either comp I followed the set up directions word for word but the settings will not save on the vista comp only on the xp comp

both strict and whitelist are unchecked.

I even deleted everything and reinstalled everything 3 times now...getting really really fustrated with this now

ahhh... vista. settings not saving sounds like a vista permissions problem.

how to rectify... on the vista box:

o delete your keyclone folder
o download the latest keyclone to your desktop
o right-click/run-as-admin the installation... unzip normally
o find the keyclone folder (c:\program files\keyclone by default)
o right-click/send-to/desktop on the keyclone application (keyclone.exe) ... this will put a shortcut on your desktop
o find the shortcut, right-click/properties/advanced/always-run-as-admin (CHECK)

say 'ok' and run keyclone from the shortcut. this will insure keyclone has the permissions to write the settings into the keyclone folder.

once that is working, make sure both keyclone's are connected. (i normally recommend connecting from the alt machines into the main) just look at the connection line on both keyclone lists. if only one keyclone has a connection line, then they are not connected. make sure they are on the same subnet, and check your software firewall to make sure its not blocking the keyclones from communicating.

once connected, you should be good to go. let me know what you find out.

Now another problem ..grrrrrr...

ok if I dont check the auto add windows titled wow (which is what the tout said to leave unchecked) no keys will pass....if i do check it the keys on the xp machine will minimise wowon the vista machine...???? Im sure its another small thing that i have overlooked and I will feel stupid all over again...

hi rob..

ok i can do a work around with 1.9 working with 2 comps...as i hate working on windows mode wow...

anyways after rebooting both comps the connection problem has dissappeared...

but the button problem with the main comp minimising the second wow still present..but it goes away when the second wow is in windows mode..hope this helps anyone else having the same problem.



as our discussion last night on running both on one machine I've tried that too..problem that arises there is even with two monitors I click on one and the other minimise and Im kinda tired of working on it atm...I have the ati set to extended desktop dont know if I set it to clone will work ..i have ultramon but havent tried that on vista yet hmmm decisions decisions.. let me know what you think

for one machine, you would use the maximizer and make 2 regions, one per screen, that were about the size of the entire screen each. this would give the impression of running both wows in full screen mode, when you are really just windowed.

to do this, go to keyclone/setup/maximizer... hit reset... then the '+' in the upper left. this will create a region. set the x,y to 0,0 and resize it to the full size of the mock screen. that should be region1. then pull down the display selector on the right... and select the other display. create another full screen reigon there. that should be region2.

make sure to CHECK enable-maximizer

then go to keyclone/setup/command-editor and create 2 commands, named wow1 and wow2 (the name doesn't matter... its just for discussion). make sure to set the region names to region1 and region2 respectively.

hit ok and get out of setup.

on the command area, type in wow1;wow2
this will start both commands and place them into the appropriate regions.

I have a similar setup and am having the same problem. I run WoW in full screen mode on both my WinXP SP3 PC and my WinVista SP1 laptop. Keyclone v1.8k worked fine with little setup or fuss in this configuration since I purchased it in 2008.

Since upgrading to Keyclone v1.9g I have the same problem Sphintcher 8| had - no key passes if "auto-add windows titled world of warcraft" is not enabled and the minimizing of the Wow window on the Vista machine if it is enabled.

If the only way to fix this is to play in windowed mode can we roll back to Keyclone v1.8k until this problem is resolved?
