View Full Version : Conditional healing macro possible?

I would like to use healing spells only if my tank is under 70% HP, otherwise DPS. This is mainly because on most trash pulls my tanks keeps himself at almost 100% HP getting passive healing from totems and seal of light + judgement of light.
At the end of the day this is a huge mana and DPS waste if I run around with a dedicated healer... and when I run with no dedicated healer boss fights become a bit tricky, specially some bosses that require constant and steady healing.
Is such kind of macro possible? Perhaps there is an addon that does it.

Not possible. Blizzard intentionally prevents this type of logic to hinder botting.

Generally, people who run a tank + 4 shamans tend to put a little lesser healing wave into their castrandom dps spam macro, adjusting to to where the tank is receiving enough healing.

Yes, but I dont have castrandom macros. Even stopping the DPS to a halt with 4 elementals or assigning one as dedicated healer, the DPs is higher than using castrandom.
I guess I will have to get some sort of extra mini keyboard or bind that heal to one of my extra mouse buttons in order to get a heal when it's really needed. Just was lazy to configure such setup and the conditional stuff seemed the most logical way to do it.
I know there is condition for harmed and 100% HP, but my paladin stays at near 90 - 95% on trash pulls with no other healing than the healing totems + seal of light + judgement of light, so this option would still spam and overheal him alot.

Some of us use the Numpad as well.

And some use the F keys, the num keys, and the ` =- \][ '; /., keys. And the /*-+ and ins keys on the num keypad. And the 4 mouse buttons.

Hell, all my dps keys are non-moded, healing keys are shift mods, special skills are cntrl mods and mounting, looting, and other non combat motions are alt mods. Useing these key combo's allows SOOO much more ablility, litteraly quadroopinlg your keys, q, shift-q, cnrtl-q, alt-q >.<

you forgot shift-ctrl, shift-alt, ctrl-alt.
Hell, take it another step and use left and right buttons for even more options (left shift, left alt-right ctrl, etc)
I prefer numpad if you have a dedicated healer. For my DK 3lock and priest group, num-0 being my tank heal sequence. 1+2 being dispels, 3 being OMG HEAL TANK NAO. the ./del being my group heal sequence, 4-6 heal locks individually, 7 heal priest, 8 fade, 9 fear ward on tank. Best thing about this is I can thumb the 0 without taking my hand too far from the mouse and really without looking for it.
