Hi,
First post long time reader woot...
im looking for a macro or a sugestion on how to heal with my two shammies i have found some from reading through the forums but all seem to result in a ton of Overhealing that isnt needed all the time they have just reached 42 and now have chain heal :D
im not a fan of cast sequence macros but open to suggestions
atm the moment i have them target them selves and cast chain heal but results in the mobs hitting me for longer pushback etc
i have used a macro where my slave targeted my main and they both healed but was over kill.. any positive suggestions please anything looking for ideas
Thanks

I'm not sure what problem you're trying to solve here to be honest. To be effective, healing has to be reactive and appropriate (i.e. on the right target), which puts proper healing outside any sort of castsequence in any case.
When I played my shammies, it was clear that I needed to be able to do two basic things:
- Heal whoever has aggro
- Heal the whole group
I could also have them all heal themselves with the "F1->LHW->G" key sequence and didn't need a macro for that so long as I didn't mind that they all healed themselves.
Healing whoever has aggro is a piece of cake using the various [target, help] [targettarget, help] healing macros that are documented all over the web, and healing the group in your case basically means doing what you're doing - targeting somebody in the party and chain healing.
With appropriate use of key assignments, it's pretty easy to have just one of them heal at a time if that's the problem (maybe [ to have shammy1 heal whoever has aggro and ] to have shammy2 do it).
What are you looking to improve here?

yeh for instance, like you said having one heal while the other still attacking say the one without aggro healed, so pushback isnt an issue how could you achieve that with out chewing up to many keybindings, and have it so that if shammy1 was getting attacked shammy2 healed vice versa is it possible to do this at all?? im still learning alot

It actually is pretty easy if you just want to have one heal the other. I know you don't like cast sequences but it would really help in this case because it will help you if you decide you end up needing the one getting beat on to heal also.
You have two Shaman Healers; Shaman1 and Shaman2.
Shaman 1 Macros
(Below is for when Shaman1 is getting beat on, press twice if you feel that you need both Shaman to heal otherwise Shaman2 will heal)
lets say this is bound to Shift+1 for arguments sake
/castsequence reset=5 ,Healing Wave
/target Shaman1
(Below is for when Shaman2 is getting beat on, press once to heal Shaman2, if pressed twice then Shaman2 will also heal himself)
lets say this is bound to Shift+2 for arguments sake
/castsequence reset=5 Healing Wave,
/target Shaman2
Shaman2 Macros
(Below is for when Shaman1 is getting beat on, press once to heal Shaman1, if pressed twice then Shaman1 will also heal himself)
this would need to be bound to Shift+1 to coincide with Shaman1
/castsequence reset=5 Healing Wave,
/target Shaman1
(Below is for when Shaman2 is getting beat on, press twice if you feel that you need both Shaman to heal otherwise Shaman1 will heal)
this would need to be bound to Shift+2 to coincide with Shaman1
/castsequence reset=5 ,Healing Wave
/target Shaman2
Basically what the macros do is if you have both Shaman attacking something and one needs a heal, press Shift+1 once if Shaman1 is getting hit on and Shaman2 will start healing while not losing the enemy target. If you press Shift+1 twice then both Shaman will begin healing Shaman1 and then continue to beat on their target. The same goes for if Shaman2 is getting beat on, you will press Shift+2 depending on if he needs one or both Shaman healing him. The reset is in there because if you only need one Shaman to heal you will want the macro to reset so the next time you press it, the same Shaman is healing again without making the Shaman who did not heal the first time wasting mana/time healing. The reset can be tweaked if you deem it to be too long.
I am not at home so I am writing this from memory but this is how I set my macros up so they don't lose their target. Because you are targeting the Shaman to be healed after casting, it works the same a click. Have an enemy or nothing targeted at all and press your heal button and you will see your cursor icon light up waiting for you to click on a target. Once you click on your target, you don't actually target what you clicked on for anything besides that one cast.

I tried this yesterday, but it didn't work (for one thing the target command seems to have to be before any cast command, or my shamans healed something random). In the end I just made two macros (with a simple target and cast), one macro on the master, one on the slave and bound them to Shift+1 and Shift+2, respectively. Now Shift+1 means "slave heals master" and Shift+2 means "master heals slave".
Thanks for the inspiration!
Btw., the last shaman I played to about 10 was in 2005, and the ones I started yesterday are fun to play (both enhancement), though my master dies an awful lot. I'm not used to being in melee and without pet :) I simply died through the draenei elite quest, being constantly revived by my slave :)

So i was thinking i could simply have
Hotkey 1
to a macro that made
-Shaman 1 cast lightningbolt
-Shaman 2 cast Chain heal on shaman 1
Hotkey Shift+1
-shaman 2 cast lightningbolt
-shaman 1 cast chain heal on Shaman 2
Hotkey 2
- shaman 1 chainheal self
- shaman 2 chainheal self
the only thing im not to sure on writing the macro is the Shift modifier i can never seem to get it to work, i could get around it by offsetting my bars between chars but i would rather learn how to do it through a macro for future reference
thanks for the feedback guys!! :D
also i saw in a video of a person doing heroics at 80 and the guy was using a addon called click boxer does anyone have a link to some info about this i havent been able to find anything
and is there anyway you can use a mouse over macro at all on your main char and pass the target to the slave for healing??

I rechecked my macros last night and they are how I put them in my above post. I cast heal without having a target or having an enemy target which queues up a heal waiting to be told or having a target clicked on. It worked fine so I am not sure what issue is causing it to not work for you.

No, your drones can't see your main's mouseover target.

Will try it.
