All snazzy and cool but what the hell does it have to do with Multiboxing? Thats one thing. Second is that Im sure as hell Im not a super duper fan of G.I. Joe and I only saw the animated movie from the 80s BUT STILL... I can say that I dont recall the G.I.Joe series centered around exo-suits and young (always young... they just have to be fucking young!) group of people fighting agiants some guy with wierd plazma nukes. Im sure as hell that isnt what I used to see in the animated movie with is an epic army battle filled with classic F's like jets, Tanks and "Yoooo Joooo" war crying soldiers rushing towards the enemy with badass laser machine guns fighting agiants a ruthless terrorist group "Cobra" with one of their commanders with sound like "Starmscream" from Transformer series. I guess we can expect the same thing we had with Dragon Ball Devolution.

I was a bit surprised when I saw the trailer. Looks better than I thought it would. First impression was that this looked like this was going to be a better than average movie without all the excessive sillyness that they try to inject in to the 80's-cartoon-turned-00's-movie.

That is, until I saw that Marlon Wayans is one of the characters in the movie (scene where they describe the exo-suit accelerator thingy). Nightmares of the "Dungeons & Dragons" movie is coming back to haunt me. All I can hope is that he's not intended to be comic relief in this movie as well.

In general, the plot seems quite decent for the genre of movie it is. Sure, it's not going to be very plausible, but then most movies aren't. That said, it doesn't look good enough to make me want to go to the crappy movie theatre we have here, but maybe I'll buy the DVD in 6 months, depending on the viewer reactions.

Looks like a good movie, but trailers can do that to ya. It seems like they made the movie before they named it. At some point they said " Hey! we need a title!. Hmm..it has guys with big guns...I know!...lets call it G.I. Joe! " It defiantly does not fit the "G.I. Joe thing. Unless they called it G.I. Joe 2020 or something

Looked it up on IMDB and it looks like the original working title was Dark Sky: First Strike. Then they must have changed it to G.I. Joe.
The main character "Duke" is played by the dude from "Fighting", Shawn something or other.

note: cross post was not me. someone else linked this into the movies section as well
(i dropped it into off-topic as it has nothing to do with multi-boxing)

The lead guy is Channing Tatum and is a up-and-coming actor you might recognize from movies like Coach Carter, Fighting, Step Up (1&2), Stop-Loss and A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints.
I personally think this movie will tank, the trailer looks fairly cool and the effects seems to be decent, but there doesn't seem to be any weight to it and with the movies coming out this summer; I don't think it will hold up.

well, that would depend on how and when they release it. if they are smart, and have a weak entry, they would put it 3 or more weeks after a strong entry. enough time to leverage the good-emo people had from the strong entry, but not too close as to compete directly with it.
