Just wondering what custom UI's people are using and why? Looks like Nightfall, Extreme, and Profit are the big favorites over at EQ2Interface. Seems like I used to use Extreme but there was some adjusting to do if you weren't using the right resolution. Anyway... just wondering what other people are using.

I use profit and it includes layouts for most resolutions. The maintainer just quit but it looks like someone is going to pick up the project.

The only mod I use is eq2 maps.
Anyone know any good sites for mods? One of my joys in EQ1 was to have the fanciest coolest looking mods but I havent found a good site for such things. Of course I havent looked long... but you know >_<

Most updated mod site is http://www.eq2interface.com/ I think.
After the patch goes in to rename all the spells..I'm going to take a look at the mod to cast buffs and see if I can make it better suit boxers.
As long as no wife/kid aggro happens.

I mix and match individual mods. Most of it's bits by Drumstix42 with some other random pieces thrown in.
Seagoat's Bags, RickF7666 Experiance Window {can go 2-4 tall or 2x2, the bubbles on the right of each bar open Persona, AA, recipe and guild windows}, DrumsUI Hotbar, DrumsUI Inventory, DrumsUI Journal Window + Info Center {clicking on the arrows on the quest tracker opens the walkthrough from Alla or EQ2i in the in-game browser}, DrumsUI Persona Window

RickF7666 Player Window, RickF7666 Group Window {click to cure & semi-collapsable for alts}, EQ2Map, Spell effects are transparent until moused over, default chat window with title and frame transparent.

Slave window. All the same, shown with group bars collapsed. Maintained spells are semi-transparent until moused over, chat window is invisible in the bottom right corner until used {set to a tell only tab}. Zy's Celtic Targetting ring. DrumsUI Pet Window. Slave windows are 4x 840x510, so things are tight. Still looking for a narrower group and player window that I like for the slaves.

I also use Z Heroic window {makes the HO window tiiiny}, DrumsUI bank and Guild Bank, DrumsUI Knowledge Book, RickF7666 Casting and Breath Bar, DrumsUI Market Window, Mayve's Accept/Decline and DrumsUI Tradeskills.

I use eqmaps and profit but I found a little useful trick I'd like to share.
If you hate the default font as much as I do here is an easy way to change it (regardless if you use ui mods or not)
in your eq2/UI/fonts folder there is a font file by the name of zcal801b, you can replace this file with any font file of your liking and just give it the same name and the game will use it instead. I use a font named Segoe Print because I like the look much better.
If you decide to change this file just make sure you don't use the station launcher to launch the game because it will repatch and overwrite it, I normally just use InnerSpace to launch the game except if there is a required patch then I just replace the font again afterward.

Here is a modification to that idea. Use the "file redirect/virtual file" for IS/ISboxer and direct the default font file to your new one and you don't have to worry about the launcher overwrite. :P

I had a huge performance hit with Profit so I ended up removing it (about a loss of 20fps), not saying its a profit issue but I could not seems to improve it enough to justify using it.
Only one I feel is essential is eqmaps.

Khatovar, I like those group and player HP bars, if it was just the bar itself without the numbers and such. Know of any way to modify it down to be just that. I looked on the user's site and did not see options for modifications :(

For group, try Himay's Group ('http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info4478-HimaysGroupWindowwClicktoCure.html'). It's sleeker and can go horizontal or vertical. Drums ('http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info4736-DrumsUIPlayerc2c.html') has a default player window with C2C. Aseekia's ('http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info4761-AseekiasPlayerwindowwithc2candc2usepotion.html') is complimetary to Himay's and RickF's. YaUI ('http://www.eq2interface.com/downloads/info4765-YaUIPlayerWindow.html') is pretty simplistic, too, however the matching group window seems to be broken.
Old group windows are iffy since they just made a change to include pets in the group window that broke alot of them. Sony has a lot of stuff hardcoded, so some things can't be changed which makes UI options very limited. You can try figuring out the UIBuilder that SOE put out to customize a mod you like, but then you get stuck having to redo it yourself if they make changes that break it.
