View Full Version : do not pass / mute / round robin overwrite not working properly since 1.9f

I just download 1.9e (and tried 1.9f after) and noticed a few things.
1. the wow window my mouse is hovering over always gets put as active window. This is EXTREMELY annoying for me. I know this is probably intended, but I can't find an option to turn it off anywhere? How do I do this?
2. I have my 'mute' overwite on the "/" key, and sometimes it works normally, sometimes when i press the button i get the black 'background' thingy that is supposed to have 'muted' in it, but theres no text in it, and it seems to 'toggle on & off' automatically if i press it once. Trying to 'unstuck' it by pressing the key a few times results in the key not working anymore at all, and I have to restart keyclone for this to work. Same with round robin/dnp overwite. I have both of those on the same button (tried separate as well though) and when i press the button i hear the toggle sound twice, the background pops up but it didnt actually do anything (very rarely it works).
Unless there's been some huge changes on that part of what keys are not allowed to be used or so I'm quite confused about this. I never had problems with it before in all previous keyclone versions.
My os on main pc is windows 7 64b, on 2nd pc is windows vista 32b.

I'm having the same problem with "override hotkey" I'm using pause for override and it seems to just toggle it on and off real quick. if I clickthe actual override button on the main screen it works fine.
Everything else works great though so far, PIP swap is a LOT faster! Love it. I also like the making the window active when you mouse over! Saves me a lot of clicks!

@funkstar
you can turn off the focus-follows-mouse under keyclone/setup/general/focus-follows-mouse ... the checkbox is in the middle
i am looking into the issue with the override key and the always-on-top now.

A workaround for now, I mapped a key to "suspend hotkey" and it seems to do the same thing as override hotkey, except it doesn't put up the big "mute"

I thought it was that at first as well yes, but its unchecked for me (all 3 of the boxes there) and still follow it. (unchecked on both pc's)

About the override keys(any):
If you keep any override key pressed it will keep on toggling itself on/off repeatedly.
It seems that not a key down+up event is checked (or up alone), but a continuous "is this button pressed down, then toggle" with a slight delay.

I thought it was that at first as well yes, but its unchecked for me (all 3 of the boxes there) and still follow it. (unchecked on both pc's)I can confirm this is happening to me. I've checked the registry, settings in both keyclone and wow, and can find nothing. I did turn on focus-follows-mouse to try it out (it's very useful while DB fishing) but when I turned it off the state persisted.
EDIT: I just tested, and the windows are stealing focus even when moving from a non-keyclone controlled window over a keyclone controlled window, and not just from wow-to-wow.It's almost like it has changed some vista setting for these windows that I can't yet find. Is it possible the hook that turns on focus-follows-mouse in the Desktop API isn't unhooking when it's turnned off?
This is a new problem in 1.9

I'm not sure what it is or how to fix it on my own part, i already tried quite a few things, but they randomly still get stuck and this is totally killing arenas for me. Going to have to revert back to an old version if theres no fix :(

i am working on the issues and should have an update shortly.
in the meantime, try this patch:
http://solidice.com/keyclone/gurb/keyclone_v1.9g_alpha_patch_29apr2009a.exe
o bug: override not working properly
o bug: focus-follows-mouse even if the check box is off
o bug: always-on-top on working
note:
v1.9g will be the next release and you will have to remember to update at that time

I also have a problem using the PAUSE key which continually flashes and is very frustrating. More frustrating though is trying to use the 1.9g fixc which comes up witht he following error when trying to run "failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect". Does keyclone 1.9f have to be uninstalled first, if so, it doesnt show in control panel as a application to uninstall.
Another issue is that i usually use the F3 key to invites group but now it comes up with a windows search window. I wish i never installed 1.9f.

the v1.9g was to be unzipped into the v1.9f folder. the side-by-side thing is due to the microsoft dlls not being in the same folder.
as for the F3 bringing up a search window, that is due to having your auto-add enabled and having an icon on your desktop by the same name. change the icon name or turn off auto-add (keyclone/setup/general) and run your wows via a command
i am working on completing v1.9g now. i have a couple of things i want
to do before putting it out.
(i may add the auto-add/desktop-icon problem to the list)

Thanks for prompt reply.
1.9g is now working with the mute problem and unzipping placement issue.
