Druid feels weak

I leveled up my pally with my druid as balance and it was fine extra dps and Hots. I moved pally to dk/pally team and decided to respec druid feral to test it out. They just feel really weak compared to dk or pally(ya i know bad classes to compare with) I have all three toons in hellfire quest gear. Ive never leveled a druid before now but is lower dps the cost for so much utility ? I know good druids can dish out a lot of dps with feral maybe its my lvl and gear.

I know good druids can dish out a lot of dps with feral maybe its my lvl and gear.Similar to rogues, feral druids are VERY gear dependent. You need to find a high FAP staff (Feral Attack Power) and gear / gem for AGI / Hit / Crit / AP and you should start to see the decent numbers. They also have a fairly complex rotation, so simple mangle spam won't produce the higher DPS. You'll need to stack bleeds.

I don't know about feral, but my boomkin is out-DPSing my fire mage at lvl 70. (probably because the mage isn't hit-capped yet, but still...)

My balance druid also out dps's my other 2 casters, a shadow priest and an arcane mage. I hit 1000 dps at level 70 and at 71 it does 1100. It also uses the most simple dps macro of the bunch.
