Hi all,
Trying to avoid making the same mistake twice here.
Bought 4 copies of WOW before i found out that RAF was not allowed for Danish WoW users.
Anyone know if EQ2 has the same restriction on RAF?
Apparently it's to do with danish laws preventing multilevel marketing, at least thats the WoW explanation.
Can't seem to find any reference on EQ boards.
Cheers.

I'm not 100%, but I think the RAF is for anyone, at least thats the way they marketed it.

You could get one account and see if it offers the option to use RAF.
You'd need to get one first anyway to get started with RAF.
You might also try emailing their support, they are pretty good about responding.

Leave your Country?
Now that idea did enter my mind when i found out WoW RAF was blocked for Denmark.
EQ2 invite a friend works in Denmark even though the trial is only for US servers, so had to install a normal client to get it working. Not sure how to test if i get any exp benefit from being linked though.
Any boxers on Runnyeye?

I was wondering how long EQ2 RAF lasts both in time (30 days etc) and level (for instance wow raf only works till lvl 60)?. I didn't find any specifics on the eq2 website.

Here's the FAQ on the EQ2 forum:

I think (but haven't tested) the exp works for all levels, but it's for kills, not quests.
I also think the exp you get from the mounts lasts forever...but i culd be wrong.

Hover over your experiance window, it will give you a breakdown of all the bonus xp you are gaining.

My entire team at 80 still shows 200% bonus for helping a friend. Since you convert combat XP to AA XP, it is a a minor bonus to AA at 80. RAF time is 90 days from the first time the recruited toon logs in IIRC.

I'm pretty sure the mounts are forever. It only seems to work on the toon you mentor. So for me, A is my main. B & C are under A.
Mount on, no mentoring..they all have 200% for helping a friend, plus vitality bonus and max toon bonus {I have an 80 on every account now}.
A mentors B, no mount...B gains 5% for being mentored, 10% for being mentored by a friend. C gains nothing, A loses 50% for mentoring down.
A mentored down to B, mount on A...no changes for A or C. B gains an additional 10% from "spells and potions".
So if the mount is coming up as "spells and potions", it's probably tied to the mount, not the RAF time.
