I currently 5 box on two 26inch Samsungs and really like it.

I was thinking about trying out the 3D vision on my main screen and just doing regular vision on my other monitor.

The problems I have read are;

1. Cannot play in windowed/maximized mode which kills multi boxing
2. A 60hz screen with shutter glasses will just appear black killing the second monitor
3. Apparently the Cursor and some other things broke in 3.1 with 3D vision
4. To get the things that broke in 3.1 to work you have to go back to defualt which just makes it 2D

Can anyone confirm or deny these things? I have mostly garnered them from wow forums and nvidia forums.

Has anyone actually tried out the 3D vision?

3D vision hasent rly evolved enough to make it usefull for gaming, tryed it on a friend on a projector playing Need for Speed.
Its awsome but after 30min my head hurt.

1. Think you can if you are using Vista or Linux, one of them not shure witch one.
2. It will turn black sometimes, just show on one eye other times and then switch back.
3. Bug will get fixed so not rly a problem:P

1) True. Windowed mode doesn't work from what I know. This is because it would have to make part of the screen 3D and part not... which wouldn't work. Im not sure if they can at some point patch that. ( and if they do, Im jumping right in to 3d )

2) True. You NEED a 120hz monitor. The way the 3d glasses work, and other things combined basically cut what you see in 1/2. So a 120hz monitor really becomes a 60hz monitor when in 3d. That's why you need a 120hz. They currently only sell expensive 22" ones. I know some 24" are coming soon though.

3) Not sure about this. But if it's true don't worry too much. It'll be fixed soon.

4) Again, don't worry. nVidia is behind these 3d glasses, and so it'll be fixed soon.

Just so you know also:

1) WoW does work in 3d, but realize some things simply wern't designed for 3d. Some things like Leafs/Trees/Fences/etc look HORRIBLE in 3d from what I hear, but other things look nice too.

2) When the glasses are on, everything else becomes very dark and unreadable besides your 3d screen. So I'm not sure if your 26" monitor with ( I presume ) your Slaves will be readable with them on.

3) I've heard cases of eye strain, and cases of no eye strain. I wouldn't worry too much about it though.

I did get a confirmation on this. The 3D vision does not work in Windowed Mode even when it is Maxmized. This makes it useless for boxing at least if you are using one box to run all your accounts which I am.

So just a heads up if you are thinking about this for WoW and multiboxing you will need to be running multiple boxes and not just multiple accounts on one box.

Once it can handle window mode and I can find a 24 inch 120hz then I am definatly going 3D. Right now with the current setup I would not be able to multibox and run 3D at the same time.
