2 Paladins: Gives you access to two auras, two blessings, Heals, Rez, Judgements stack (passive healing/mana for now).

1 Feral Druid: Mark of the Wild, thorns, heals, battle rez, Leader of the pack.

1 DK: Honestly not sure what they bring to the table, but ive seen the vids so they have some auras and a pet. (only played one in the starter area)

1 ENH Shaman: totems totems totems.

Im not sure how some buffs/auras/totems will stack or overwrite each other. But just off the top of my head I see 4 buffs from the paladins. 3 from the druid, at least one from the DK and upto 4 or more from the shaman? Thats 12 buffs on each guy out of the gate, not counting self buffs.

Might be fun to try, not sure how they will do in endgame heroics and stuff.

DKs no longer have auras, removed in patch. however frost DKs have icy talons which increases melee haste by 20%

Does it effect the whole group or just the DK? Looking more to just stack a ton of buffs to make them all better.

It affects the whole raid, but it is equivalent to windfury totem. So not really worth worrying about (pretty far down in frost tree).

The thing about mixed classes is timing. Your pally does a judgement, DK does a disease, druid does a cat/bear attack, shammy does a shock. Now what happens is the shammy is done for 6 secs, the druid can do an attack almost right away, the DK is reallly ready and the pally is ready. Not bad, but things get messier from there. The DK doesn't need to do a disease for like 15 secs. The shammy may not exactly time with the druid's rage/energy. The pally wants to do more attacks (spells), but when should he time them? The simplest thing you might enjoy is doing 4-5 of the same class. Try 5 DKs. They have self heal and if you go blood you get group rune tap (30% or so heal). Pallies can put light on the mob, so all melee can heal and their timing is the same. It just makes things easier if you use the same classes. In theory you get more if you mix and match, but you really don't if you don't have seperate people operating them. You run into timing issues and then you do about 70% of what a same group does.

Things I thought about on melee. Facing (rogues, druids). If you aren't facing excatly like you want, you miss out on DPS. Range. If you don't have any ranged, you might get stuck in a spot where you need it (spawned mob that casts, runners and if you get frost nova'd/slowed). Silence. It doesn't happen often, but be ready to do damage without casting. Runners getting adds. And make sure you get a boxing addon (multiboxer or jamba) for following since you will break follow every pull.

Good luck. Hope that helps.

Death Grip would help with runners/casters, as would Hammer of Justice slightly, Exorcism, earthbind totem and root. You can also strangulate/mind freeze casters (DK skillz). I've thought of this too. You could position your group, DK would pull the mob to you and your melee would chew em' up. Once you got it down you could get slick enough that you pull with the mob's back to the rogue/druid. 2 ret pallies, I assume? Holy Pallies are as useless as tits on a boar hog, for 5 man healing, in my experience. Especially considering your group has a chain heal, nice HOTs if needed and Tranquility if things really go south.

Another plus to this setup is that now gear drops would be wasted (plate, mail, leather and cloth). I run 1 pally 4 casters and all I get is mail and leather :/

What about a warrior? +2255hp or +548AP shouts. Lots of debuffs, easily macroed AoE, and heroic throw /w gag order + taunt is a great caster puller.

The problem with a druid is either you are tanking with bear or dpsing with the cat. Cats, like Rouges probably take too much attention to MB with unless you have a party full of them.

When I was playing this was almost my team, except i had a fury warrior instead of a 2nd pally.

Ret pally, great AOE, can heal, cast BoK and used retribution aura for free damage and the extra effects.

Feral Druid, easy tank (not a lot of buttons), easy AOE, iLOTP is awesome, 5% crit aura, MOTW is no slouch.

Fury Warrior, +AP shout, great AOE dps, sunder armor.

Enh shaman, used +armor earth, healing stream for water, windfury air, magma totem for easy AOE. Has a 10% AP buff on crits, nice quick heals with MW, bloodlust, can rez, reincarnation, etc

Blood DK, 10% team heal every 30 seconds (glyphed), solid DPS, hysteria, mark of blood, blood aura (well they took this out recently), path of frost.

I didnt get them to 80 but it wouldve been a monster team. It was all built around the idea of maximizing DPS buffs and self healing. Each of the characters brings a self healing element to the table and many heal the group too. I didnt get them to 80 because i lost interest in the game, maybe somebody else will make it happen =P

You tanked with the bear? Any issues with macros?

No, no issues.

My mash button used swipe / maul. Separate button for lacerate / mangle.
