I planned on having my feral druid as tank for my multibox team.
The only reason I chose the druid over the pally for tanking was because Iy thoughtgetting decent damage out of a feral cat whilst multiboxing
would require concentrating too much on that one toon.
I've started playing my horde caster team and it's reminded me of just how strong a tank a paladin makes so it got me to thinking about how I could get
decent damage out of the cat without losing focus from the rest of the team.
I think i've come up with a decent plan, and thought I'd share it. If it helps others, great, but I'm also hoping to get some tips to improve it.
Firstly I'm going to rely heavily on Mik's scrolling battle text to watch for key situations and let me know about them.
1. Set up a trigger in MSBT that lets me know when the cat has 5 combo points. I will have one macro that will trigger either ferocious bite, or the bleed effect over time finisher that I can't remember the name of based on which key modifier is pressed. (I could have two triggers, one being a running commentary of how many combo points and one being a more prominetn 5 combo points reached.)
2. Set up a trigger for Both Berserking and tiger's fury. I can make a decision based on the remaining length of the fight whether I want to trigger either of these abilities.
3. Set up a trigger for Savage roar being down. Generally on trash a quick 2 combo point savage roar is going to outlast the mobs, for bosses I will need to reapply this.
4. I'll glyph for mangle. Multiboxing I'm not going to want to worry about positioning myself behind the mob. So I'm going to mangle spam.
The pally tank should require less of my attention than the druid would have and this should allow me to react to the MSBT trigger messages.
I only have to setup one trigger for maelstrom weapon on the shaman, so I don't have too many other procs firing off that could distract me.
I may turn off a lot of the other notifications to make it easier to spot the ones I'm interested in.
