Best Glyphs 3.1 What to take?

What are the best Glyphs for 3.1?

I currently have:

1. Glyph of Flametongue Weapon
2. Glyph of Lava
3. Glyph of Flame Shock

Looking at the fact that Stoneclaw totem is now like omgwtf, I will be taking that glyph which actually makes the totem omgwtf.

The best option for dropping a glyph is the Flame Shock imo.

Any other opinions on this? Or do you have any other build on glyphs? Do you like cake?

On my main I swapped Stoneclaw for the elemental mastery.

anyone tested if the totem of wrath glyph stays up if you drop a different fire totem, i.e drop totem of wrath then drop magma/searing and keep the buff? same with earthbind?

yeah, u keep a 5 minute personal buff after placing the totem, even if u drop others after

That makes me wonder:

1. Is the TOW buff dispellable?
2. Will the TOW buff make LvB hit harder then it does with Glyph of lava?

The TOW buff will count towards flameshock aswell thought and thats worth taking into consideration!

In PvP, generally speaking you're either going to blow someone up with Flame Shock --> Lava Burst or you won't and then you'll have to swap targets, because if one FS/LB blast didn't kill them... You're probably not going to get the job done with Chain Lightning and Lightning Bolt spam :)

Also, I used the Glyph of Shocking for awhile and compared to the ToW Glyph and Stoneclaw, it's lackluster. Half a second on your gib isn't going to make as much difference across your entire arena career as 4x 4k bubbles and ~100 spellpower imo~.

The days of constant 10k+ LvB crits are over - so don't' sweat it. My Shaman get 5k - 11k crits with LvB now (FS up). At first I thought it was a fluke, then I watched it happen over and over again in Naxx. Pre-3.1, LvB was 8.5k - 11k, now its 5k to 11k. /lame

So the "extra damage from lava glyph" ? Who cares, with that kind of range, its a crap shoot at best.

In fact, you keep the personal buff even after swapping specs. So it's possible for resto & enhance shammies to "spec dance" for 4-5 minutes of free bonus 86 spellpower before boss pulls.

good choice.

1. Elemental mastery is useless, your games wont last that long (great in BGs though)
2. Lightning bolt dmg is pathetic and will not make the game, lava burst/chain lightning does
3. any other glyph is not these three. =)

well firstly you are for sure taking two.

Flame shock and Stone claw these are guaranteed imo. For those that said lightningbolt thats pve not pvp
If your running 4 shaman i would look at a cast sequence thunderstorm that could prolly help out a good bit, if not lava is better for the burst, where totem of wrath is better for overall pve dps.
