What I'm talking about is, is it possible to take the stored settings from your main WoW WTF folder and copy them over to your slave's WTF folders if you have the Interface and Data folders Symlinked? I just had to basically reinstall my main folder after a this new 3.1.1 patch screwed something up when I tried to install it. When I did that, I wound up having to redo the settings on all of my addons, and since I did, I want the same exact settings for my slaves, but reeeeeaaaaaly don't wanna spend all that time on 20+ slaves reconfiguring settings. I searched the WTF folder on my main and found the SavedVariables folder under his Account folder. Can I copy this whole subfolder, or the individual addon files over to each of my slaves? Or is the personal account name and information stored on each file in there to prevent just this? I'm mostly wanting to copy over my Bartender, Cartographer, Jamba (which I know I can push settings to slaves on there), Sexymap (very helpful tool also), and any other addons I might want to use the same settings on as my main?

Some will say its possible but I doubt it. Ace addons made a decision to have profiles stored by character names.

You might be able to do it if you use addons that have profile saveings and loadings and then when your slave is in game load the main profile then save it to the slave name. Or while on your main you could save the settings to each of the slaves and then when you get the slave in game load the profile with its name.

If that dosnt work ou have to go into BOTH savedvaribles files folders and change the names from your main to your slave (there are two sets one set is under your server name and character name folders). You have to do that for each add on file you want to change .....

All and all its Bleh.

I remember xperl (and cooldown timers too i think) allowed me to copy a profile from a different account by copy and renaming the entire account folder and renaming the character name to the new one.

I also remember most of my add-ons that didn't have copy profile settings so I don't know if it'll work with yours...
