View Full Version : having an issue - keys not passing?

Hi,

I read the thread about the authentication server being down earlier today, but since I can access the website, my license says it's active, and keyclone will open, I'm assuming this is not the cause of my problem. Keyclone today simply will not work for me. I did a search to find similar issues, and I found the bit about the shift key causing keyclone to become unresponsive, and that also does not appear to be the problem. In my keyclone window where it has the names of my two WoWs that are running, one has an asterisk next to it under status. When I hit shift, the asterisk disappears, but keyclone still does not respond. I've restarted keyclone several times and rebooted my computer as well, and nothing is working (but it worked fine last night). Also, in case it's part of the problem, my computer is running Vista (which, imo, is the spawn of satan :) ). Anything else I can do? If this issue has been covered before and I have failed to find it in my search, I deeply apologize for reposting! I'm a mod on another forum and I know how annoying that is to forum communities.

Thank you so much for your time.

Edit: the timestamps on forum posts changed twice for me already, so I suppose the thread about the server being down was created more recently than I had previously thought - not sure where I can find out if keyclone is supposed to be working right now?

Keys passing doesn't depend on the server, if it says your license is valid, then it should work, I just tested mine on 2 comps, working fine. Try removing the wows and manually adding them? The asterisk denotes which window currently has focus iirc. Try clearing your DNP lists.

I cleared the DNP list and removed the WoWs (keyclone automatically instantly re-added them). Still not working :\ Anything else I can try?

on the DNP list, do you have 'white list' checked? uncheck it

as for auto-adding your wow clients, that is under keyclone/setup/general/auto-add-windows-titled

as for auto-adding your wow clients, that is under keyclone/setup/general/auto-add-windows-titledWhitelist is not checked. I'll try changing that option you mentioned and manually adding the WoWs. I haven't changed any settings between last night when it worked, and today when it didn't (unless my fiance unknowingly did so). Would uninstalling and reinstalling be a solution?

Edit: Manually adding the WoWs did not work.

Another edit - I had tried rebooting earlier and that didn't solve the problem, but I did it again just a minute ago since another program was acting up, and lo and behold it works. Still don't know what the issue is but at least it is working now :) thank you again for your time!
