i'm just wondering how much of a hassle it is to type in a unique key everytime you want to login is. I'm assuming they are all randomly generated per instance. So clicking on every screen typing in a unique key. Anyone already have one that can enlighten?

you only need 1 authenticator for all of your accounts. hit button... type number... done.

you can use the same number for all your clients. I launch all my windows. type my password. then the box pops up. I use the same key for all 5 of my accounts. Since I am typing it in all at the same time you only need 1 button press on the authenticator. If you merged your accounts onto battlenet. I am not sure how that affects your login since you have to choose which acct.

If you merged all your accounts into a single b-net account, it still works the same, as long as you have "remember login name" checked. After the first time you choose the account from a drop down list, it saves the selection. So it's super easy. I highly recommend merging all your accounts and getting an authenticator. (especially the free iphone version if you have an iphone)

You know, they just implemented these things with FFXI. They even have an equivalent of BNet Accounts. Of course, you hook your account up to a token, they also double your bag space, which is a big plus.

Yeah I just ordered one. Wanted one for awhile but until recently they wanted $6.50 for the authenticator and then $80usd for shipping to Canada....c'mon it's only 10$ for 2-day airmail a small packet from us-canada.
They're now reasonable, they charge $10 for shipping to Canada so I got one. I'm just a little more paranoid about my account security since in order to get my dual-boxing to work, I had to put my PC in the DMZ outside my router's firewall (yes I run a software firewall, anti-spyware, and anti-virus, all up-to-date on my PC)

Why do you want an extra device when you can get it on your phone instead - for free ?
I bought 2 hw auth when I could last year (1 as backup) but I stopped using them and I'm glad I did - maybe I should ebay the 2 hw I have (1 being new in box)

I launch 5 copies of wow, broadcast 1 password, hit the button on my authenticator, type in 123456 and hit enter, into the character select x 5, hit enter, into the game x 5.

Why do you want an extra device when you can get it on your phone instead - for free ?Not everyone has an Iphone... Not everyone wants an Iphone.I pondered this exact feature, especially since they will be releasing versions for other smart phones... I also know several users who's iPhones were bricked by this update or that update, and realized that would be a call to blizz tech support... and since I'm such a fan of ANY tech support issues, let alone one that will likely take multiple days to resolve, I'll stick with the key FOB.

I'm not going to go out and buy an iphone which costs a ton more to use iphone. Not only that but your cell no matter how safe you think it is can be cloned. No thank you!
Anyway to answer your question on why I bought 2. Because I have family and I'm not the only one who plays. Hubby needed one for himself. I was going to buy for my mom,brother,brother,sis-inlaw, aunt, ex sis in law, daughters, and son. But they limit you to 3. So I'll just have to wait. And figure out how I'm gonna order all those without having to set up several different shipping addys.
