Don't know if anyone still uses multiboxer v2, but I do :) I've always been a fanboy of the simple interface and 2 second setup. I made some changes to fix the invite issue for 3.1 so if anyone wants it send me a pm.

i was a fan of multibox addon over jamba for a long time till a patch killed multiboxer. A mate who multiboxes with me felt the same way, is ther an update and upload?

i still use it. I know invite bugs a bit, but I just spam the macro button a few times and then they accept

So, whats the difference between this and Jamba?

they both at their core do pretty much the same thing, jamba has more features like the targeting macros and better quest handling (abandon quest/choices) plus the push to slaves functionality is a nice feature, the buy feature is nice. Don't get me wrong, I really like jamba, I've used it. Multiboxer is just a less complex/featured alternative that does only what I need without the bells and whistles.

Multiboxer feature list is on our very own wiki: http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Addon:MultiboxerV2
and the thread: [Addon] Multiboxer V2 ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=7195')

it was state of the art for quite awhile :)

The first addon I used for Multi Boxing was MultiBoxer. Some time back, (could have been right before Lich King)a patch really broke it hardcore. I wasn't aware of Jamba at the time, and it appeared the MultiBoxer was not getting fixed anyime soon. Being a programmer for my day job, I decided to dig into the code and see if I could fix it. Ended up deciding it would be less work to make my own addon than to try and untangle it. Made MultiTool, and afterward, found out about Jamba.

I'm glad someone picked up maintining MultiBoxer... it was a fine addon when I was using it. You're exactly right too... Jamba is by far the most feature-complete multi-boxing assistant addon, but there are some decent options out there for those that want something much lighter weight.

I loaded up jamba last night to see the differences since last year, it certainly has come a long way and Jafula has done a wonderful job, my god his code is nice lol /salute. I'm a developer too and Jafula obviously has too much time on his hands to format code so nicely ;) .

I posted in the jamba thread that I was ditching multiboxer and switching to jamba but the more I think about it I'm swinging back to multiboxer, jamba is great but does way more than I need. Watch this space for a slightly improved multiboxer v2.

btw jafula I wasn't out to steal code lol, I just wanted to see if
there was anything in there that would affect targeting as my dps
dropped 300 when I installed it, no idea why, looks like I was just having an unlucky night

This was the first multi mod that I ever used.

So simple, straight forward and easy.

2 minutes to set up, and then you can forget about it and go play.

Thank you so much for this. Please keep updating it :P

Yeah, I agree 100%... Jafula's code is very well written and clean. I've been considering making modules for my code based on how he's set up his because they're just brilliantly done.

/hat's off to Jafula

/hat's off to JafulaSeriously! Wow, thanks. I don't like the way the current version of Jamba works as it isn't modular enough for my liking! I will be releasing Jamba-0.5 under the GPL, so you are more than welcome to steal code from that once it is released.

Glad to see you are taking up Multiboxer, Simulacra. It's always good to have a choice; and the more addon developers the community has, the stronger our addons as a collective will be.

I think Jafula and I are on the same page... our addons may have overlapping feature sets to some degree, but our implementations work for slightly different play styles. Plenty of room in the pool... come on in, the water's fine!
