So, just when I thought we were doing really good with guild levels..
I read up on them and realized you have to be a level 30 guild to get the first guild hall.

Not sure why I thought it was level 10.

Yeah, we're still working on our guild hall. The xp pours in with the top tier city writs, but we've only really been doing them if we happen to be in the area. I spend most nights grinding out tradeskill writs, which can't be multiboxed, heh. But, it's the best way to get my tradeskillers up, since you get paid for them and I need to grind them anyway.

But it's a long, long road. I don't have aspirations of anything over the base guild hall {I already have the big house}. I just want someplace where I can centralize all our toons.

Guild Level 10 allows you to purchase your first non-basic home. It has a personal status cost and cheaper cash cost than the ones that do not require guild level.

0 Guild ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Da_Dirtnap') {unguilded or in a guild below level 10} - Upkeep - 5s, Rooms - 1, Vault Slots - 2, Max Sales Display - 2. This is the basic inn room found in the little hamlets outside the cities, such as Big Bend. The "starter" rooms.

0 Guild ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Blood_Haze_Inn_Room_No._1') - Cost - 24g 36s, Upkeep - 97s 44c, Rooms - 2, Vault Slots - 3. This is an inn room in the city. Costs more to buy and rent, but has an extra room and vault slot.

Guild 10 ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Blood_Haze_Inn_Room_No._2') - Cost - 14g 61s 60c 22000 status, Upkeep - 58s 46c 3000 status, Rooms - 2, Vault Slots - 3, Guild Level - 10. Just like the room above, it is in the city, but it trades some of the cash cost for status cost and a guild level requirement. The status cost can be reduced by using various furniture ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Ironwood_Armoire') in your house. This makes belonging to a guild a good way to cut your recurrent cost on house rent, since you can decorate your way down to almost no status cost.

Increasing your rooms will cost you. Either in cash...

0 Guild ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/3_Freedom_Road') - Cost - 96g 60s, Upkeep - 3g 86s 40c, Rooms - 3, Vault Slots - 3.

...or in Guild Level.

Guild 20 ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/10_Freedom_Road') - Cost - 57g 96s 86000 status, Upkeep - 2g 31s 84c 9000 status, Rooms - 3, Vault Slots - 3, Guild Level - 20

As will vault slots.

0 Guild ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/7_Integrity_Road') - Cost - 1p 93g 62s, Upkeep - 7g 74s 48c, Rooms - 3, Vault Slots - 4.

Guild 20 ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/4_Freedom_Road') - Cost - 1p 16g 17s 20c 120000 status, Upkeep - 4g 64s 68c 24000 status, Rooms - 3, Vault Slots - 4, Guild Level - 20

Or you can work up a Maj'dul Faction to buy a house there, which requires no guild but can use status. However, in order to buy a home in Maj'dul, you will need to work up faction in one of the courts to purchase an appropriate level residency license -

Simple ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Simple_Maj'Dul_apartment') - Cost - 14g 61s 60c 22000 status, Upkeep - 58s 46c 3000 status, Rooms - 1, Vault Slots - 2, Req. Kindly ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/A_basic_Maj'Dul_residency_license')

Mercenary ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Maj'Dul_mercenary_apartment') - Cost - 96g 60s, Upkeep - 3g 86s 40c, Rooms - 2, Vault Slots - 3, Req. Warmly ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Maj'Dul_residency_license')

Merchant ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Maj'Dul_merchant_apartment') - Cost - 57g 96s 86000 status, Upkeep - 2g 31s 84c 9000 status, Rooms - 2, Vault Slots - 3, Req Warmly ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Maj'Dul_residency_license')

Large ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Large_Maj'Dul_residence') - Cost - 1p 93g 62s, Upkeep - 7g 74s 48c, Rooms - 3, Vault Slots - 4, Req. Ally ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Affluent_Maj'Dul_residency_license')

Affuent ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Affluent_Maj'Dul_residence') - Cost - 1p 16g 17s 20c 120000 status, Upkeep - 4g 64s 68c 24000 status, Rooms - 3, Vault Slots - 4, Req Ally ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Affluent_Maj'Dul_residency_license')

You can't get anything bigger until GL 30

Guild 30 ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/3_Compassion_Road') - Cost -3p 87g 24s 250000 status, Upkeep - 15g 48s 96c 50000 status, Rooms - 5, Vault Slots - 5, Guild Level - 30

Guild 30 ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/1_Compassion_Road') - Cost - 4p 83g 84s 300000 status, Upkeep - 19g 35s 36c 60000 status, Rooms - 5, Vault Slots - 6, Guild Level - 30

Unless you are lucky enough to score one of the rare loot cards from the LON game

0 Guild ('http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Concordium_Tower_Magical_Manor') - Cost - 0, Upkeep - 0, Rooms - 5, Vault Slots - 6

Beyond that, you no longer are able to aquire larger personal homes. At GL 30, 50 and 70 your guild can purchase the guild halls. But keep in mind, houses are per character, not account, so you can buy houses of varying levels for each of your characters depending on what you can afford or what you need.

Sad that it looks as messy as our house IRL. :P

Any on Nektulos nerver are welcome to join.I'll have to run it by Moosejaw and see what he thinks since it's just the two of us in our guild.
Plus..I'm not 100% sure on what group I'm going to play just yet. I'd probably drive you nuts with my alt-armies.

But I don't think you know the true meaning AFK until you see me play!...or don't see me play.. :P
Sometimes I'm AFK before the screens to login finish loading. :whistling:

you can just turn on the auto AFK option on. Will make you afk after a few minutes of no action, and un afk you next time you move. I've found that option, but my afk's come in bursts depending on my 3 year old's aggro radius.

I found the most beneficial part of having a guild hall is the resource box that you can put in your guild hall. This allows everyone to dump their raw materials into the box and when you craft, you can draw mats from there automatically without having to have any on the person crafting. Frees up a ton of space and makes crafting much easier across toons.
Also the 15 minute guildhall gate is awesome.

Tweedfu,

Does your guild have some sort of stance on the number of alts that can be in your guild?
The reason I ask, is I have 2 teams right now that I'm sort of undecided on which one I like best.

I have also been searching for, but couldn't find if there was a max limit of members that can be in a guild?
I'd hate to take up spots that were needed for real players since my 2 teams would be 12 slots. :P

Also....are you sure you are ok with the fact that I probably wouldn't be able to raid? (maybe once or twice with long notice to the at-home-boss).
But I can do writs X 6 ;)

I just want to make sure because I don't want to cause you problems with other members who will be contributing more than me most likely.

Rereading tweed's post I think he may not care as long as he has more active members.

Seeing the same guilds spam recruiting messages every day trying to scrape the bottom of the feed bowl is kind of sad. :S

Because he's talking to my Mom!!!! Oh wait.... :pinch:

Tweedfu said he had to work late tomorrow and wasn't sure if he'd be on tonight.
I wasn't on for much longer after you left, but he mentioned to a few others that you would be joining as well.

Now I have to figure out how to get to the Common Lands. I remember exactly where it is in EQ1!

I looked for ya last night Moosejaw, but didn't see you.
BUT, my son kicked my @rse last night too, so I hope I didn't miss your /tell or login notice.

And on a side note - I think the undead/demons in the Guild Hall are laughing at my piddly writ quest turn ins. :P
I thought I was awesome when I bumped the old guild from 5 to 7 in one night.

Bah, I crashed 2 times in an hour the previous night (x6) so I started loading up ubuntu for some crash free play. I may not be on for a few days. Really tired of the game crashing. I have my dual boot up and running working on upgrading to the newly released ver 9.04 Ubuntu. Once that is done I have to get started on Innerspace/wine interface. /crosses fingers

Hopefully this all works out and I can post a guide for it soon.

There are also doors you can get to put in your own home that will port you to the Guild Hall.
Or at least that's what I hear. :P

Once you make it to the Guild Hall, you can get the Call to Guild spell, then you won't have to worry about it.
