DPS Loss on shaman

I just tried to run a 10 man naxx, and couldnt break 2k dps. Highest lavaburst after 18 counts, was a 8228... Something is wrong

I went from 3600 dps on sarth 25 to this on 10 man? Seriously... and this was a full PVE spec as shown on my shaman.

not able to confirm yet or not, but spells might have been altered that they are using lower ranks or something

Its not happening to *every* shaman, but i did read a few guys who shifted dual spec and it put lavaburst rank 1 instead of rank 2.

My lead Shaman went from 2200 DPS in Naxx to around 3200. (yes, a 1000 DPS increase)

Check your macros.

rank1 vs rank2 equals a drop of 1k dps ?? That doesnt seem right. Especially something you cast every 18secs.

I dont know what happened to mine , but I did a bunch of heroics yesterday and had more problems than I have had in weeks, when I am so used to getting a fight done in so many seconds and it goes bad for some reason I was wondering why, now after reading this, I am going to check what it is. This is with running my Druid (tank) and 4 elementals. I was quite disappointed.

I still suspect they "fixed" a bunch of abilities / mechanics in instances and raids, making things a bit tougher.

Alright so after reviewing I cought something....

I noticed my talents are jacked up on 3 of my shaman, i saw this yetserday on my main and thought it was related to dual spec and I didn't look at my others.

You can see Orbzm, Orbzem, and iceorbs (armory) and notice that their talents will say 37/8

I did not make this change... the game did. They all still have thunderstorm and stuff so it never registered to me. *HOWEVER* they do not have any points in shamanism, so I believe this is where I lost my dps.

If you have lost DPS Please review your talents just to make sure they are still friggen there lol.

My one shaman Orbzz, is currently pulling 2700 dps on a target dummy, while all 3 of my others only did 2100-2200 on the same dummy, same buffs and damn near *SAME* gear with the exception of a meta gem. They are all exactly specced the same, this has GOT to be problem.

Don't forget the elemental mastery change that will lower your dps :P Also, there is a new dps rotation for ele shams you have to work in frost shocks being as they are only 4sec cooldown now.

I am getting weird talent bugs on my 5 shaman. The other day I couldn't place points in my talent tree, I had points available but clicking in the tree just didn't do anything. I switched on the planning mode and then it seemed to work, I could allocate the points and confirm to actually spend the points. Then I noticed today the points were available again. Don't know if it is related to the shaman dps problem but something is definitely very fishy with shaman talents.

Couple of my guidies had there entire trees reset - three or four times.

Here is a screenshot of my lvl 41 shaman showing 25 talents spent in the Elemental tree with only 4 talents available. I have no points in resto or enhancement.
So basically WoW ate 2 of my talent points. It is the same on all 4 my clones. My main seems ok now but I had problems on the main as well.

One of my shamans was 77 when the patch went live. I've specced 54/14/0 using the preview funtion. As I dinged 78 and 79 I've put points to Lava Flows. Upon hitting lvl 80 I wanted to max Lava Flows, but the talent was back down to 0/3 and my spec was 54/14/0 with 1 unspent point.
Customer support told me to reset UI and crap like that, but it wasn't an UI issue. So some GM reset my talents over night and now am 57/14/0 for a couple of days.
Looks like they've got lots of bugs around...

Yeah, there is a few posts on the bug reports forums about talent points. There is also a 3.1 issues list that include the talent problem, it says that sometimes some of your allocated talent points are reset when zoning. I can link the thread if anyone is interested.
