Yay, I want to dualbox two melees. Main should be a Warrior and the toon a Paladin. I multibox on one PC using HKN for PiP and Octopus to broadcast the keys. Now since I'm not completely new (multiboxed a Shaman / Mage combo until mid 30's) I would appreciate it if you could give me some tips on how to multibox more than one melee and maybe you've got some tips for my prefered combo too.

I have boxed all the melee chars in WoW and it's not as hard as it would seem.
In my opinion, it's easiest just to run up to the mob, walk through it a bit with your main, then turn around. Your alt, whether it be 1 or 4, will be within range to hit the target.
I've not tried the mixed melee groups, as I prefer the simplicity of alike spells.
It's very doable and more people are catching on to the idea, where before, few people were up for the idea.
It's very good in PvP too as you don't have people trying to LOS you with your casting times. I am able to unleash the wrath of hell on someone with my paladins, mostly insta cast. I also did very well in the BG's with my DK's, where they have some distance allowance with their spells, more so than the paladins. Death grip is also nice for that "Oh crap! I'm outta here!" person that tries to run rather than fight. ;)
For combos, I run 1 prot/4 ret paladins and it's insane. A few others are also running 5 pally groups and liking them.
On a personal note, I don't like the warriors as much as I do paladins, DK's and rogues, in that order.
Yeah, with ret paladins being ridiculously good (I haven't met anything else that can solo my 5 level 80 shamans), I can imagine having 1 prot or holy and 4 ret would be insane.
I've been running 1 holy paladin, and 4 blood DKs for a few weeks, and I've also played around with having rogues. Multi-boxing melees is not as bad as it initially seems. You do get follow broken from combat (but also get that with channeled spells and various other abilities from non-melee) so you either want to hit a follow key religiously or use Jamba; personally I use a follow key to follow on demand. There's a mess of abilities for some classes -- warriors with stances come to mind -- that you will have to plan for, but for the most part you can just create one key to spam attacks. My DKs do /castrandom between several abilities for example, or there's /castsequence, etc. Other than that, positioning is the only thing you have to worry about, which is a matter of running your lead a little past the mob in some cases so the follower(s) can be in melee range, and re-following during combat if adjustment is needed.

About positioning, has anyone tried if interact with target with "click to move" active works on enemies? That would be more accurate than follow, I guess.

I played around with two test accounts using the forementioned Pala/Warrior combo. Playing the Warrior as main can get some kind of annyoing and I think about playing the Pally as main and let the Warrior charge the target which would cause him to stand directly at the mob with autoattack. Seems much easier. But going through the enemy is also something I've managed to learn.

I can confirm that with click to move, and the interact with unit key bind does indeed work, not only for dps, but also for: looting, skinning, and other fun stuff. I have my interact bound to my f key follow bound to shift f and force focus target on alt f. I just target something with my main and spam my dps keys and my f interact key and the dks and my drood follow spin and whack whatever they have targeted... So freakin awesomr!
