View Full Version : Kaymapping and Hostrings: What am I doing wrong?

I thought I had this figured out, but apparently not.

On the main box I have the priest's keymap. I will present some entries I have made for the priest.

TAB Preist.Acquire.Target

LSHIFT TAB Priest.Last.Target

1 Smite

LSHIFT 1 Shadow.Word.Pain

LCTRL 1 Power.Word.Fortitude

... and on a clone box I have a hunter. Here some equals for the keys.

TAB Hunter.Acquire.Target

LSHIFT TAB Hunter.Last.Target

1 Hunters.Mark

LSHIFT 1 Track.Beasts

LCTRL 1 Fire.Trap

After grinding through the information in these forums I came to the conclusion that the hotstring unifies the key strokes (TAB, 1, LCTRL 1 and etc...). As you can on the sample I have provided on my keymaps that the Hotstrings are different for similar keystrokes therefore these keys do not fire of in unison or in harmony, but they do anyway. I want these two characters to act independently from each other not in unison.

On the main (the priest) if hit 1 key, the Hunter Mark brightens up on the target. On the main (the priest again) if I hit LSHIFT 1, the Hunter begins Tracking Beasts. The priest also perform his actions too. I am just about at wits end with KeyClone. I am hoping an expert is willing to take the time and tell in detail how this works and not just give a high level answer leaving me to fill in all the blanks.

If you are willing to take the time, I appreciate your help and expertise in advanced.

why not simply put the keys on the 'do-not-pass'-list?
