im a 3 boxer, using 1 machine. my comp is nothing flash but runs 3 wows just fine, and thanks to the new loading times in wow its even better.

how should i have my 3 wows setup, just run all 3 from 1 folder, or have 3 folders? i read somewhere something about a sync program or something, lets u run multiple wows from the one folder but they can have diff settings. cus i kinda want to setup the alts settings differently, but having 3 folders was a bit of a pain to try and patch, and takes up more hdd space that i dont have ;(

heya, i'm pretty much pondering the same thing

nearly finished patching my first copy of wow

and can't decide whether to load another 3

i read something on here a while back about quad core cpu's

i think it was along the line of you can assign each instance of wow to its own core

don't quote me.

edit: i used to run 4 copies of wow from the same folder with no probs at all

macro's server side is a plus for that, tho i was running all 4 on quite a low visual setting as i figure cartoons can only look so good

1 folder for main (slightly higher graphics and other settings)
1 folder for slaves (lowest settings)

you don't need seperate folders for every account you have just basic Main folder and Slaves folder.

I have mine setup for symbolic linking (vista) - do a search for Junction linking for XP. each additional wow folder takes up 13mb (they each have thier own WTF folders)

patching is a breeze as all i have to patch is the main source folder
