Anyone do open wolrd pvp raids?

I seriously can't find any video of anyone doing an open world raid multiboxing, like raiding stormwind with their multiboxers.
I also can't find any vids of anyone with a lot of chars (exept one with 37 but he was leveling).
I would love to see someone with 25 chars (or something) raiding stormwind :D

Is it hard because repairing costs so much?

I really want to get 25 accounts, all the way up to 100 accounts on 15 machines or something like that.

I really find raiding in a huge group exciting.
I don't want to multibox just to go through instances, and kill bosses and such. I don't really care for the best items, armor, weapons etc.

Does no one like raiding stormwind and such?
Like if someone is recruiting for a raid to stormwind, do you not just want to bring your 10 chars?
If someone is recruiting I really want to bring my 100 (if I had them).

Doing something extreme like 100 chars seems exciting to me. Of course not everyone can afford it though.

Edit: And yeah having 5 chars and making them epic doesn't really seem fun to me. Although I'm sure its very fun, and I know 5 chars controlled by a multihunter can often be very powerful.

Sorry for the double posting. I got mine online - or at least after I started boxing I did. It was a tad awkward buying five games, I couldn't imagine buying anything over 20 :o

Then again, who cares what other people think, to hell with them!

I didn't care one bit when i walked into Gamestop on Black Friday and snatched up 3 copies of the Battlechest for $20 each. They only had 5 copies left till I got there. I went back this past week hoping to find WotLK on sale during their Game Day Sales, but it wasn't. Even after all this time, the manager still remembered me from that day, which was a shock, since I hardly go in there anymore, or when he's there. Anyway, screw what everyone else thinks about runnin multiple copies. Do what you want, how you want. Just warn them, if you want to, that for each 'Report' they send in on you, gets then one sent right back times how ever many accounts you decide to run. See how they like their year long vacation from WoW for being an ass. But imo, 50 would be much. Seeing as how the raid cap is only 40, lvling them up, excluding RAF, would be a pain. I'd love to raid on the major cities atleast once, be it with one account or all of mine. By the time i finally got ready to do it and had the time, they raised the lvl cap to 80 and now I haven't goten that high yet. Plus, there's never anyone on my server that can form the raids while I'm on.

I reported someone for the second time last night, so thats 10 tickets off me. Usually I wouldnt bother reporting people but hes got a serious attitude problem. We killed him heaps of course but he spent like an hour insulting as and get this, hacking right in front of us. I even got him to admit he hacked in general chat lol not that it matters. /shrug

It generally takes a while to (re)organize everything before you go, so it's advisable to organize it all yourself. Managing 40 people is quite a task sometimes(it really depends on the people and how alert you are) but it is reall fun!

Thanks. There were some at the entrance in the boss' chamber in Stormwind. I think you can see some resistance in Ironforge too if you look carefully. Also, this is not the full fight, so there might have been more PvP in the other video that didn't make the clip. I had several gigabytes of data from a single run xD
Generally we go at night, cause it takes a while to get a 40 man group together (and add new people when others leave). At night there's less resistance, which is not bad, cause it's more fun when it's succesful :) No resistance is lame though.

I have multiboxed before (but I picked the country "Iceland" where I live and I couldn't use the frigging RAF)
When I was buying I had 4 battlechests and there were some confused old people behind me in line.

I just don't want to see the same people behind me next time but this time I'm buying 10+ battlechests :D

Pretty much everyone on my server has the black war bear, I have it on over 12 characters (I 5 boxxed it once, after that i just jump on a level 60-70 alt when I see someone lfm - even one of my level 58 DKs has one lol).

Its kinda pointless nowadays raiding other factions cities, nobody even bothers resisting anymore. Maybe once in a while you'll get some bored guild or people putting together anti-raids, but for the most part everyone just /yawns and lets the other side kill their leaders. Once again proving WoW is really mostly a game about rewards :(

Open world pvp is great, but like puppychow mentioned, I don't think you're going to find a lot of resistance when you go to kill the city leaders. A few members of this dual-boxing community have killed some of the city leaders with anywhere from 5-10 characters. I believe zzc2 posted some screenshots of a few of his city leader kills. If the localdefense channel is spamming you, you can simply turn it off to ignore those messages. I think you'd find a better fight if you went after the auctioneers in one of the capital cities (this way you'd at least irritate people), but then again, people would probably just head over to the next city rather than deal with your army of 40+ guys. WoW is more of a game that tailors to rewards, rather than to pvp. Yes we have arenas (which reward great stuff), battlegrounds (not sure how you'd handle any of these if you were the sole person in a bg - except for maybe WSG -- you'd block the hell out of the flag :P ), and the SoTA/Wintergrasp, but that's about it. Open world pvp has very little to offer in terms of rewards, and since there are very few rewards, people most likely won't care about what you're doing in the open areas.

well when I was playing people that were in the cities would bother and they would naturally attack back when they see a red name in their city.
Maybe they wouldn't call in all their guild but in the server I played they seemed to always want to defend the city.

If it would say in the chat "city under attack" everyone would rush and find them.

There was always this excitement to defend and attack cities. Maybe that is rare or maybe it was just a new server and no one had raided before or something, I don't know but it was fun.

We all died whith 2 full raid groups when we entered stormwind (almost all maxed lvld), A LOT of players would come defend at the front of stormwind, and they would just keep on coming even if we made it far into the city.

Also after we had been wiped out people would wait and wait for us to ress. And also if we were just in the stormwind area people would rush out of Stormwind and come looking for us everywhere.

I remember when some mage came to us and just stood there where everyone could see her in front of a horde city, then she started shooting, mounted and ran away and about 10 people followed her even though she hadn't come close to the city yet.

So I had some fun raids when I had my lvl 70 hunter but maybe its not always like that.

(not hating atall) just dont see the point ..... i mean how long would it take to lvl them and gear them .... then you raid SW like 50 times ......................... then what ???????? i mean ya would be cool for a wile ... but the time and cash you put into the accounts ,, just seems a waste. if the only reason for having 30/40 chares is to raid city's ... i mean once you have the bear mount why bother ?? duno for me the time+money isnt worth the reward ....

My plan is to get goblin enginerring to 350 on about 25 of my guys and have 25 or so goblin rocket launchers and beat down people at world pvp.... Thats going to take a few years though.

I don't think Ill be killing any city boss soon.

Who does world pvp for a bear mount? That's just stupid...to me.

Well after getting it I would continue to annoy people in stormwind, but then of course I could also just take a few of my accounts and 5 box, then sometimes 10 box, then take all my accounts and help take some open world boss down. Then visit stormwind again and close the city down by closing the flight path. (or something).

But I have decided that my max will be 40 chars after reading a post from prepared, but min 25.

But you know, just have fun.
anything, I can think of a lot of things to do with all of the accounts, then of course I could get some epic gear for 5 of them, do arenas and something in a few of them.
I'll sometimes play all of them, sometimes 5, 10, 25, whatever.

But mostly just fun things, I don't want to beat that very hard instance just for some item drop, unless the instance is fun.
I'll do some arenas because they are fun, BGs too.
Open world pvp, anything.

No I picked my server for low ping to the datacenter and high allience to horde ratio so I would have more potential victims and a PvP server of course.


I don't see the logic of paying for 30 accounts and ever playing only 5 or 10 or whatever. When I log in its almost always on all 30.

And yeah I will use all my accounts most always, I was just saying that if I wanted to do something that is limited to a number but I really want to do it then of course I would just use a few of my guys.
