A plea for help -- Chat log Screen Shots in English

Hi all a little something odd to ask for your help on. As some may know I play on Chinese servers and hence have chinese Chat but I also teach some English over here in China and am putting together a short lesson on The Language of Computer Games and multiboxing.

What I would like some help with is some screen shots of a chat that you are having with guildies or friends in game about any aspect of playing so that I can have my students try to decode it. I know I could write something up as a dialog but I'm looking for something genuine. So next time your chatting if you could take a few screen shots that would be great. lots of Dots, LoS ,lol's etc would be great as these will be the kind of things that I'll be teaching them.

Sounds like a great idea. (I used to teach English as a second language too.)

This reminds me of what was probably the best foreign-language lesson I ever had, out of many years of studying several languages. The teacher played an actual tape recording (tape, yes, this was 32 years ago) of a cop stopping a driver for speeding. It's noisy, cars are whizzing by, it's hard to hear. They are saying "uh" and interrupting each other and mangling their syntax like people do in real conversations. She played it over and over, and each time the class discussed (in the foreign language, of course) what the cop and driver had said until most of us understood the whole thing.

I don't play WoW so I can't help you but hopefully other people will.

It doesn't just have to be wow but any mmorgp will do . I'm just looking for real language conversations/ chats used while playing or even a Vent voice recording during a raid or something.

So I'm guessing screenshots of people saying to us:

"WTF? - GTFO you Chinese gold farmer!!!111" ...

would be a bad idea? :P
