Interesting thing going on right now...
the www.worldofwarcraft.com site is down, and as a result, the accounts that I have set up through my Battle.net login cannot be accessed. The other accounts I have are fine.
I wonder if they got hit with a DOS attack.

Yes, it's the attack of "a big patch went live yesterday and we have several million players."

It was rude.
algol, the problem was not with the login server per se. The accounts that I did not have on Battle.net were not affected. The only accounts affected were the ones I had tied into the same B-net login.
Also, www.worldofwarcraft.com was down but the Armory was still up. So it was only a portion of the Blizzard servers that were hit, which is what made me think of a DOS attack.
Anways, the problem is fixed now.

Gald to see you had your problem resolved.
After a long work week...and its barely half over...I spent he first half of the night dual spec'ing 2 of my 5 toons and then was cut off.
We had WG buff, I only need 6 more shards to get my Mammoth mounts...and BOOM im kicked.
It looks like an account hack. account1, then 2, then 3, then 4, then 5... Whatever alogrithm theyre running is good. Im definitely going with the authenticator now. 3rd time Ive been hacked and im very careful what sites I visit and what I download. The fact that my accounts where kicked offline in series leads me to believe its was an automated program.
The interesting thing is when I tried to retrieve my password or change my email, I get a message saying this account has had too many account resets recently and the function is unavailable and I need to contact Customer Service. Theyre not open, im in the usual pwned cause I just got hacked mood.
after gettign these toons to 80, and not getting the authenticator I feel like a damn tool. 6.50 for my night back, lunch hour tomorrow to get it back, is worth way more than $7.
cheers,

I am using the iPhone authenticator and have not had problems as of yet.
Obviously, I wouldn't have expected problems after 2 weeks but...
I am noticing weird issues with the Battle.net accounts though. For example, I was trying to log on today and noted that the non-B.net account got logged on right away. The B.net accounts had to wait for about 10 minutes longer because the login thought my server was down (Bronzebeard). Once I got logged on, no worries. Still, was a little bit odd.
