So I stopped multiboxing, well even playing wow quite a while back. long story but new GF whos sister is an ex-wow-widow so i didnt even bother to try and get away with it.

Anyway life was tumbling along just fine without WoW, still had the odd craving to play, especialy when a mate would ring up telling me about his new death knight damn him!. then somthing rather strange happened, with no hinting or prompting at all from me the GF asks to see WOW. You can imagine my surprise!, so being the dutiful other half I am I do as Im told and load wow(dont you just hate it when your other half makes you do stuff!) then it gets better and she wants to make a char.... (Im thinking its a bit too close to april fools day at this point to get my hopes up) anyway to speed things up shes now playing a lvl80 priest(got to love RAF boosting!) and Ive been TOLD to hurry up and lvl my 3x70 shaman so that we can run a paly, 3xshammy, priest setup in instances!.

Think Ive hit the Jackpot now, got my team back up and running and a dedicated healer who even brings me snacks while Im playing and totally understands (almost) why I didnt cut the grass yesturday as I was busy lvling!

so good to see you all again and its great to be be back, though getting used to all the changes is taking a while.

Grats man. :)

I'm in an approximately similar situation. My girlfriend tends to spend her time soloing, grinding obscure rep (Timbermaw?!) and doing achievements :) ... but we instance together now and then, and both live secure in the knowledge that we'll never, ever be bitched at by a significant other for playing too much WoW. It is Good.

haha this is cute.

Its kinda the other way around. I started playing wow first. Hubby was still on UO. Lets say that didn't last long now he is playing with me. He's my tank for my 4 box team. He does the research on spec, gear. And in return I help him with everything else. From farming to leveling. He can't remember one quest from the next. /facepalm Even after 4 years. Yes dear you have to fly to southshore to get to SFK. Yes dear stormwind is closer. No dear thats the wrong place for that quest... Everday.. lol Getting him to places like ratchet over and over..lol dear its stormwind, bootybay, boat then your there! uggg hahaha

Hurry up and get a ring on her finger before she gets wise!!!That little ring often changes everything. Be careful with that.

No kidding, my wife didn't play WoW until after we were married, but now she's even 5-boxing. Those are true keepers.

My wife would rather see me play WoW than play with my WH40k minis... but would rather see me watching TV like a zombie on the couch with her.

My wife is the antithesis of a computer gamer, I specify computer because she does like to tabletop game. But just like Gurblash, my wife would rather we sit mute on the couch watching the boob tube.

Since becoming a homeowner last October, I've found the best remedy for wife aggro during a WoW session... is to go outside and work in the yard, wash the car, detail the wheels, and then just disappear to your neighbors garage and drink beer. Keeps ya from sittin on your ass watching the 'boob tube' and she thinks your actually being productive LOL.

More or less. How long before there is no functional difference between a monitor and a TV?

Oh we started out horde. It was the same thing on horde side. He doesn't know north south east west..lol

He did do a little better on horde side. Less running around. But not much better..lol It was his idea to do alliance. When our horde guilds broke up!

Ok...I stand corrected. Get him QuestHelper and something like TomTom so he has an arrow on his head showing him where to go lol.

There is no difference in my house. A few months ago my husband started thinking about redoing our entertainment center. We were looking at replacing the TV, reciever, dvd player {1 for unencoding so we could play our foriegn DVDs} adding a blu-ray player....and all the crap that goes with it.

In the meantime, he decided it was time to start ripping our movies. We have well over 1000 movies and tv shows on DVD {not pirated!! Best Buy has an orgasm when we show up!}...we're talking 4 bookshelves in the living room, 2 in the computer room, 1 in the bedroom. Not to mention the stuff we already tried to condence in a DVD folder, loaned out or lost behind the tv, lol. We don't have cable since everything on is garbage and everything that's not, we buy on DVD anyway.

At this point, I failed to see the logic in ripping them all to drives just to have to burn them again when we wanted to see them. And finding crap on the computer is a million times easier than trying to keep that many dvds in order. So, we ended up upgrading his computer a bit and merging our "living room" entertainment center with our "computer room" entertainment center. :D Crappy Camera phone pics ahead.

http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/9302/es1.th.jpg (http://img242.imageshack.us/my.php?image=es1.jpg) http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/2313/es3z.th.jpg (http://img411.imageshack.us/my.php?image=es3z.jpg)

Now all the bookshelves are gone, the entertainment center is gone, one of the old computer desks are gone, my computer room is converted to the workout room and we have a lot more space in the living room. And he has a second monitor for web pages, music or watching TV while we game. Now to get around to crawling under the desks and zip-tying all those cables.
