Goooooooooooooooooooooood Morning :D
Currently I don't want to play a 5 chars team.
I just want to relax and hang around in the good old world of warcraft.
I want to explore a new fraction ´(horde), see new quests, new game content, enjoy a "new" game, again.
So I'm planning to two-box..... ok.. I'm addicted... I just want to play
So ... bloodelves are so graceful.. so sweet... I'll take two of them. But which class?
I don't want a paladin, but I need a healer in my combo so class a) is a priest and class b?
Which is more effective in tanking an elite mob to complete a group quest (while my holy priest is spamming heals)?
- warlock pet
- hunter pet
- rogue (because of dodge rating + leather)
any helpful ideas?
thanks in advance.

Two out of the three classes you mentioned are pretty self sufficient without a healer.
With a healer they would be close to indestructible :)
Go for either the warlock or the hunter. Personally I would go with the warlock, that's just personal preference I got bored very quickly with my hunter at the old level cap. Although for me Undead is what a warlock should be, cannabalize and will of the forsaken are great.

undead ? *gg*
no way... I'm planning to play on a pve ream, so I don't need the pvp buffs.
which pet is more effective in tanking an elite mob and more heal-able?
warlock pet or hunter pet? (warlock specced demo and hunter specced beast)
I'd say warlock since they could tank sartharon (dragon from OS) but i heard blizzard nerfed th crap outta them... though they did the same for hunter pets. so go with the lock!

Go with a Hunter and a tanking pet. You won't compete with yourself for the same gear. I still think my VW is trash.

i played bm hunter/fire mage and lock/fire mage(destro and demo sepcs) in the early 40's before putting them on the sideburner for other toons, the hunter pet is far better an asset but for some reason i like the lock more, better spell synergy than hunter, but the hunter was a hoot. What about mage/lock/druid?
(and while belfs are shiny, you have to roll a cow if you come to the dark side ;) )
I suggest death knight(if its an old account with lvl 55+ alt in any faction/realm) and priest combo. It will be easier for your priest to catchup since the low level quest will be easy for the death knight. You'll be 60 in no time. DK has tons of pet :) Army of Dead+Gargoyle+Ghoul+worms

If you really want to tank elites why not go with a Pally or DK?

/hug all :-)
Thanks for all the input. I rolled a warlock.
Both are blank accounts, without the WOTLK Expansion. So no chance rolling a DK.
btw .... they're linked with RAF, so a 55 DK would kill the 300% EXP Bonus :-)
I don't want to tank Elites in an instance etc... I just wanted to play a class where
I can kill elite mobs (for a quest!) with the help of my priest so I wanted to have a pet as a tank
that's why I asked for the hunter and warlock pets.
As soon as I turn 58 with my priest-warlock combo,
I'm going to delete the warlock and continue with a DK as tank.

two affliction warlocks was probably the funnest time i've ever had dual-boxing.

My main is a lock. In northrend, I was able to solo almost all of the group quests I attempted. First one I had issues with was the "ring" one at Grizzly hills...but that was due to fighting the mechanical thing who doesn't follow aggro rules. VW isn't brilliant at tanking, but when you get the felguard it's just awesome.
I can't remember the name of the quest, but it was in the zone North of Icecrown, where you had to fight into a church type building then fight an uber strong elte at the alter. I was able solo the quest. Don't get me wrong, it does take a while...basic tactic is put corruption, curse of agone and immolate on the mob.....then keep healing the demon. Life tap every so often to replace the demon's mana...then life drain to replace your own.
So with a priest there, you can heal the lock everytime he life taps. My suggestion would be to level the lock as affliction using the VW as a tank until level 50 then switch to demo to get the felguard. It would be up to you what you want to do with the priest....whether that be helping with the DPS as shadow or healing as disc/holy.
