I've been reading through post for a couple hours now, and I think I have a pretty good understanding of how this all works except for movement. Correct me if I'm wrong, but basically all of your secondaries are on /follow the majority of the time.

How does this work when you move your main? If you hit W+mouse turn to move him, it will cancel /follow. If you set it so W is not relayed to the other characters, then what do you do when you are in PVP combat and /follow is cancelled and you need to move all of your characters forward?

In fact, how does movement work in general once in combat?

One other question I have been wondering about is how do you manage to have all characters face the target they are assisting if it moves around? Do you have to add in /assist mainguy or something to each spell they cast?

Sorry if this has been covered before, I searched the forum for 'movement' and 'battlegrounds' but couldn't find the answer.

Basically All characters are on follow.

You don't pass your default movement keys to your clones and you setup a diffrent set of movement keys to move your clones :-)

Its always best to get targets from a distance, so they don't have time to get in close and screw up your targetting. For warlocks this is obviously not a problem. If they do get up close, a good idea would be to drop a snare or some other crowd control method on them, get to a decent distance and blast them (Unless of course you can just AOE them to death).

keyclone can "blacklist" keys. These keys will not be passed to your other windows.

WASD moves my main, but the arrow keys move the clones.

I'm doing a Pal 4 Priest team. My priests are on follow most of the time. My pally moves with ESDF and my clones move with Alt+ESDF. If i'm going into a pile of mobs and i want my priests to be at range I'll tap Alt+D and they stop and then i move on like normal then i concecrate and then start dotting on my priests. or you can keep them on follow cause combat dosen't cancle /follow but for some spells like Mind Blast, Mind Flay and Smite you have to be faceing the mob and it helps if your toons are in one place facing your tank and the mobs.

Some times you get a runner or something or a roving pat that comes up behing your priests so you have to turn them. Easy, hit your follow key they will snap to your direction then simply back them up again with Alt+D and keep on fighting. when your done hit the follow macro again and your off.

P.S.
I use F11 for my /focus /follow focus key so it's a little out of the way and gets tedious over time. So I changed my wand macro so that i can use this after each fight to collect my followers and move on down the instance.

/assist focus
/cast shoot
/stopmacro [combat]
/follow focus

this way i can click (A) after each fight but still not worry about clicking it in battle and having all my priests run to me, but a quick click after everything is dead and all my children are in line and ready to move on.

P.S.S> Blacklist sucks if you want to type your password x5 and your movement keys are in your password and you can't /dance either.

i usuualy just disbind tha w, q and e keys so i can still write / stuff on all 4 but they wont cansel /follow and also if ya dont use mouse to steer you cud skipp /follow all together and juse the walking kyes for all 2-5 guys (greatly practical with multi mili classes)

Sorry to necro this thread but my question is related.

I'm in the process of setting up a five box system spread across 2 PCs.

Assuming I set up my team as described in this thread. What do I do if my main dies? I'd like the next team member to take over the lead. I can envisage a set of macros to get the surviving members to focus/follow the new lead but the problem is that now my lead and my team are on the same movement keys. How do you handle this situation?

A related question: If a toon dies and you don't have any ressurection abilities (5 Mage or 5 Warlock team for example), how do you bring the newly ressurected toon back to the party from the spirit? You'd need to take sole control of that toon and I'm unclear how this is done.

For the last question, pause keypassing and alt tab to the dead char and run him back manually, or stay dead being useless until your entire team dies or you're res'd :p

As for switching mains, it takes complicated macros with the nodead modifier included; I don't do macros so you'll have to search for it in the macro forum or let someone else answer that :p But it would basically be a macro on all alts set to diff keys that sets a diff toon to Focus, or in a more recent discovery, 1 macro to target each toon in order and set focus to the last targeted one using nodead modifiers, so that if the last toon targeted is dead, it doesn't target him and focuses on the next to last instead. Fairly recent post in the macros forum I think, unsure of post name lol

As for solving the Same Movement keys, either pause keypassing, use Autorun, or mouse-drive(hold down left + right click to move and steer without pressing any keys)
