Is it possible to skip a spell that's still on a cooldown in a castsequence macro?

there are a couple of spells that can be skipped. they are usually on long cool downs, instant cast and can be cast at the same time as another cast ( two cast on one button press )

-- mage icy veins
/cast icy veins
/cast arcane missiles

-- shaman elemental mastery
/cast elemental mastery
/cast lightning bolt

I don't really know all of the spells that can be used like these. but if you were hoping to miss the cooldown on say lava burst then the answer is NO.
you can use a castrandom and it should only cast items available.
/castrandom flame shock, lava burst, chain lightning, lightning bolt

you loose DPS by not using all cooldowns to the max but it's not too bad.

I wanted to incorporate the updated version of lightning mastery into my flameshock, lava burst macro.
