what to do with THUNDERSTROM?

what does a quad shammie boxer do with thunderstorm? do u have each shaman do thunderstorm one at a time or do all at once for greater damage? If so how do u do the macros for them doing it in sequence? please post and help me!

Redaces, most people probably set it up to go off in sequence via a click/castsequence or using round robin in Keyclone. This way they can always have it when they need it or use it rapid-fire for mana restore...assuming it still does that. I don't play WoW anymore so I don't know if there's been changes. It'll also probably depend how you play {PvE or PvP} .

where x= the cooldown after glyphs and talents (base is 45s i think)

If you just want to get quick mana, spam the button 4 times. Otherwise use it as an 'oh shi' moment if a mob beelines to your casters. PvP it's going to be great now, useable while stunned.

Before 3.1, I used two thunderstorm macros to guarantee that when I pressed it, it would fire every time.

The first one was set up for round robin so that whenver it was activated, whichever shaman got the keystroke (via Keyclones round robin) would fire thunderstorm regardless of the current state of the shammy (casting, stunned, etc). Silence seems to be the only counter to this.



/stopcasting
/cast Medallion of the horde
/cast Thunderstorm


The second macro was set up as a nuke where they would all fire at once and activate all extra damage abilities:



/stopcasting
/cast Medallion of the horde
/cast Elemental Mastery
/cast [damage trinkets]
/cast Thunderstorm


So it looks like with 3.1, I'll still be using the macros, but can remove the pvp trinket from it.

I use the castsequence method explained by Siaea. This method gives you better fine control of managing your knockbacks to keep people/mobs off you. Now with 3.1 TS is even stronger.
