my DK's are 71 now and I decided to give UK a try.
I cheated and dropped one of the DKs and brought my valorus geared shaman healer along.

I found the fights seemed a little long to me. my DKs were putting out some 550 dps. This is with shaman buffs of course.
one magma totem from my shaman and the healer out dps the whole team :D
I didn't know if these DPS numbers are good or bad. They are all Unholy at the moment and I suppose I could find a better cast sequence or a better build.
I'm using the BoA sword and BoA shoulders with stamina and strength.

I found the last boss impossible to take down.
the first phase is easy, it's after he respawns that gives me hell.
if I have pets up he starts his fight with a pet killing AoE, if pets aren't up he doesn't start with the pet killing AoE.
He seems to be able to aoe-crit my guys for some 80-90% health... he somehow silenced my healer ( this is beyond the normal silence where you are supposed to stop casting spell or cause a spell lock
and my healer is a long way away.
and if I survive all of that, one throw of the hammer wipes the team because they are all on top of each other.

anyone else use a melee heavy team like DKs to take him down... how did you do it?

I've done this in heroic with my 4 DKs and a healer.

4x DKs clear Heroic UK & UP ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=18375')

Basically, you need to have 1 DK tank spec, and tank the boss, have the other 3 DK's behind him. It takes some work making sure you position him correctly.

If you get that hammer whirlwind thing, move the DKs out with your strafe key - you need to be quick.

Also, use your CDs, like IBF when you're low on hps. Don't summon your ghouls until phase 2, where you can summon them and use hero's.

at level 74 and 75 with my paladin/druid group im only putting out about 900dps with the paladin and about 650 with the druids, so that looks fine to me. I remember being in the 500's when I started UK the first times.
