Hey, I'm new in multi-boxing - in fact haven't even start yet. So I got few questions. I'm having 2 screens, 1 flat LG Flatron L22WT 22"-wide screen and 1 ViewSonic P775 fat screen. I'm about to play with 2 accounts, should I run WoW on each screen or you rather prefer alt-tabbing or something?

My specs are:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz
Motherboard: Asus P5LD2
Video Card: Club 3D Radeon X1950 (256mb)
RAM: 2024 MB
Hard Driver:250 GB
Screen(s): LG L227WT 22" & ViewSonic P775 17"
Mouse: Logitech MX-518
Keyboard: Logitech G15
Mouse Card: Steelseries
Internet Connection: 10/1 MB

My friend said he had almost the same specs when he was playing his first months as a multi-boxer, so I decided to give it a try. Currently, I don't have much money to spend on for new specs, I'm planning to buy some new devices before or at the summer, so please don't use time to comment my specs unless you think it's IMPOSSIBLE to do multi-boxing with this spec, thanks.

For dual-boxing you should be fine in general on that machine. I'm just wondering when steelseries started coming out with mouse cards. :p

As far as monitors go...try both and see what works with you.

Well currently I'm doing some dual-boxing, and using Keyclone, but I'm still pretty newbie with it. Is there any guide for it or something? I've learned how to cast spells on both accs at the same time, but the biggest issue is keyclone recycles all keys what I press in 1st window with 2nd window, so it's pretty messy as some of you may know.

Thanks in advance.

until recently I was dualboxing, then took a break from WoW and MBoxing, and now comeback with quadsetup =D
I have C2D 6600 2.4GHz (OC 2.7GHz), 4GB(needs 64bit OS), and GF9600GT/512MB and I quad-box smooth like a butter =D
C2D 1.8GHz and 2GB with X1950 IMO is good enough for Dual-boxing, but triple-box might be lagy

it is all about mostly RAM, my quadbox eats 3GB of RAM.
and definitely use maximizer/keyclone/octopus/whatever to run dual box on both screens, alt-tabing is not fun =P
btw when I had XP32bit I used to make my 2nd screen main, load wow on it, then make my other screen main, and would load second wow on it, then it would play smoothly and wouldnt need any additional soft, also that would bypass 32bit DX9 problem that wouldn't allow graphic rendering play on second screen as good as main screen (50% FPS on second screen)

hope it helps

PS: get jamba addon, learn to use it, it makes life easier.
For now at least, make macros to cast of focus target like: "/cast [target=focustarget] SPELL" your focus always your main, and on EVERY toon "/focus [target=TOONNAME]"
Use "/castsequence reset=5 SPELL,," and on toon2 "castsequence reset=5 ,SPELL," for stuff like erthbind totem, each press would cast one at time for every press from different toons
this is most basics that would allow you to start from scratch.
and then alot of trial and errors to get your setup from there and on just the way you would like it.

Best regards in your endavior =D

Figured how to prevent certain keys to be divided with other window. Also made few macros, but how do I move my 2nd wow window to my 2nd screen? Haven't tried yet, so help is appreciated before I try to. I'm using windowed mode obviously.

Not sure if double posting is or isn't allowed here, but anyway, to clarify the atmosphere of this topic.
I've now also figured how to put the 2nd wow window to my 2nd screen, everything works currently very well, macros etc are working. But, I got a disconnection during my game session (only on 2nd account), could possibly some addon do it, or? I'm asking here because I saw a topic out there about disconnections, so I got worried and thought is this the issue between me and multiboxing. Helpful comments are more than appreciated.

I'm running XP and using KeyClone + ingame Jamba-AddOn. Does anyone know how to share quickly quests, guides for this and nearly for this are appreciated. I just took a quest on my 1st account and normally shared it with my other. I've configured some certain options in Jamba already, but I guess there could be something for this, maybe someone could advice a bit if has ever used the AddOn called Jamba?

Thanks in advance everyone. :)
