Well due to less hours at work, I can only afford up to 3 wow accounts for right now. But which would be better to do? I want to do shamans due to high dps, and healing spells, but I dont know if I want to do 2 or 3.
Any thoughts?

well, 3 seems like a great choice, i mean, the more the merrier. Although 2 might be easier to manage screen wise, if you have at least 2 monitors. well if you have 3 monitors then that works ok too lol. I'd go with as many as you can afford.
I was dualboxing at most, and now finally decided to quadbox(most I can afford now)
I want to run/have quad-shamy team for fun, and I already have one shamy at 56 that mostly solo grind there almost year ago, so I set up 3 shamys and run them to lvl13 yesterday =D
first thing to note: dual box much easier to manage, to loot, to quest, to grind, to gather mats =P
but 3box is sooo much more fun to kill anything with two spells from each shamy, and then get destroyed by lvl15 in westfal when you 10, lol
check out post by Kelevra ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=User&userID=2937') where he clears all instances ownlvl with tribox =D
My new Triple-Box Team (Paladin/Priest/Mage + Druid/Druid/Hunter) [loads of pics inside!] ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=19767')
best regards =)

with three ele sham I can still manage to heal heroics and toss some dps if needed, or go all out DPS if I have a healer/tank with me etc. With two ele sham trying to heal heroics is a nightmare.
just my 2c

Go with what you can afford.
Its interesting to see that entertainment is one of the first things cut when money is tight but usually has the smallest impact on a budget. Also if your cutting costs. Take the money that you would have paid for WoW and put it in a jar or something to show that you have it. If you just go and cut say $100 a month worth of expenses, but don't have $100 in your hand at the end of the month, then its not doing anything for you and the money your 'saving' is just flowing out other holes that should have been plugged first.

Any thoughts? :wacko:I run 3, because I can't afford 5. It's fine, especially if you have higher level characters to help in dungeons. Leveling, you can handle the entire game up to Stormpeaks, with 3, especially if you roll a traditional tank/healer/dps group.
Dungeons won't be easy unless you pug, have a guild to take you, or you have an 80 or two to take your guys through.
The synergy is great, you get more options, more buffs, more professions, and more classes to play with. 2 shaman would be dead easy with one more of any class.
I say 3, from experience. It's a blast, and doing collection quests for 3 isn't too bad, compared to 5. Also, you'll have more options and leveled characters when you do have more funds.

I started out 2 box and switched to 3 after about 1 month. I wish I had started with the 3 from the start because it is not much harder than running 2.
My setup is simple. I logged into wow individually on each of the 3 accounts and I set wow to windowed mode on each of the 3 accounts. I do not run symlinked accounts or use maximizer. I did nothing to the wtf file. I just log each account in. When they are all in the game I move the windows to overlap each other: Warrior on top, Priest 2nd, Mage 3rd. I invite with the warrior, and mouse over to the other accounts to accept the invite. Then Warrior is the main character and is on top. Each account is the same screen size but overlapped so I can see just the edges of the 2 that the main account is blocking. But I can move the mouse over to the other 2 accounts if I want to loot something with them. I have to move the mouse slowly but keyclone easily switches the mouse control over to the secondary accounts when I mose over to them.
I can do collection quests easy except I have to collect for 3 instead of one. I can run off with one character and solo if I want while the other 2 wait.
I'm happy with this setup but do not know what I am missing out on with some of the more complex setups I have read about here - so you may want to delve into those.
I eventually will run 5 when I buy a new computer and my plan ( don't know how it will work out) is to use the same setup, 3 accounts on one comp, 2 accounts on a 2nd. Both comps connected to a router with keyclone on each. If I get owned in instances I'll look into some of the other setups.
Edited to add that I do this on a 3 year old athlon 64 , 2.4 processor with 2 gigs of ram and a nvidia 7800 GT
