Well, I'm broke once again.

Just bought my 19th and 20th epic flyer skills/mounts and I thought I'd add up the costs:

Basic Flying Skill:
800g x 18 (two of the 80s are druids)

Cold Weather Flying:
1000g x 20

Epic Flying Skill:
5000g x 20

Tawny Windriders:
200g x 20 (no, I didn't even consider the ~1,600g epic dragon flyers. The windriders get it done - and they don't have that tendency to cover up quest-givers for other members of the team)

Total 138,400 gold

I'm soooo happy not to have that huge gold sink hanging over my head! And with four teams to farm Icecrown dailies with, I can pull in 3K gold per day while avoiding the more time-consuming dailies.

Anyway, I guess this is just a shameless brag rag, but it feels great to have it done and I just wanted to make a post before Stealthy and Blastr leave me in the dust by getting epic flyers for five or six teams. ;)

For those of you still making money for epics on your teams, keep at it - it will happen soon enough and is very worth it.

How long does that take? Think it takes quite a while

It's not too bad. I 10-box, so do two teams at once. There's a lot of "dead" flying time so I play the other team while one team goes from quest to quest. About 80-90 minutes for each group of 10. Works out to a bit over 1K/hour.

So whats your current path of dailies ? Would be good to know, doing this many teams youve probably decided a certain flow of quests to do.

I posted about the dailies I was doing and some of the time-saving tips I use in this thread a while back. Some helpful people even suggested some improvements.

It was when my toons were still "young", but the quest info is still relevant.

Maximizing Northrend Dailies Thread ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=168536#post168536')

For the last month or so I've streamlined the entire list a bit - I just do the three dailies at Shadow Vault then all the ones from the flying ship except for Slay them All (PvP = the suck), That's Abominable (too many problems not getting credit on the explosions), and the two near No Rest for the Wicked - the writhing mass one and the summon a voidwalker spy one (those two just take a bit too much time now that I have multiple teams and can just repeat the easier ones instead). I also pick up and complete Assault by Ground while cruising around. This smaller list takes the best (fastest and least buggy) quests and still nets over 750g per team.

Just curious but do you have any goals in mind for 20 level 80s? Is it on 20 seperate accounts or 10 accounts? I assume you want to solo naxx, do you plan on pushing into ulduar once its released or do you mostly want to PVP?

My goal since rerolling on Magtheridon Horde in September last year was to be able to solo Naxx. In the past few weeks that has become a reality thanks to some nice strategies posted on these forums by Bigfish and others and many hours of trial and error. I designed my RAF toons so that I could have 5 balanced teams at 80 one day that could each do heroics and that I might eventually be able to do 10-man Naxx twice a week (two different teams).

I have 10 accounts right now, 4 teams at 80 and my last team at 67. I might be able to do two teams of Naxx 10 now, but it sure would be convenient to have another 5 toons at 80 to be able to mix and match a bit to help out with different fights. For example, I run Noth, Heigan, and Loatheb with only one tank, two healers, and seven DPS since only one tank is needed for those fights. With four total tanks among my 20 level 80s, I couldn't do this with two sets of 10 ATM. With another team at 80 I definitely could.

Fortunately, since my best team of 10 can do at least some of Naxx consistently, I have started putting in some of my less geared 10 into certain fights where gear they need may drop - much easier to gear up my second 10 this way. It is fun to be able to optimize drops so fewer drops are wasted. This same philosophy also allows me to get some guildies in for certain fights where they might get some gear (which I did this last week).

I guess at some point if I got my other team up to 80 I could split them all out onto 25 accounts and try soloing 25 Naxx, but that seems quite expensive ($150/mo I am very comfortable with, but $375/mo?), I'm not sure if I could actually have success (the fights in Naxx 25 seem to be much more complex), and overall the gain seems to be pretty marginal. As for Ulduar, I'd definitely be interested in trying it out, but I hear the first boss may be unboxable.

Overall, just happy to have hit my long term goal of soloing some of Naxx. My next short term goal is to simply expand the number of bosses I can get down.

nice! well at the very least there is a lot of BOE patterns and drops in ulduar, so farming 50k+ gold a week could net you a bunch of very nice upgrades off the auction house.

I think you can definitely solo naxx10 except for kel'thuzad. Thats a boss I think that is extremely multibox unfriendly, I could see someone 2-3 boxing 3 DPSers but not much really beyond that. The issue with the fight is that you essentially have 2-3 seconds to react to ice blocks and void zones, failure to react correctly and in time results in insta death. Even when soloing if I don't pay full attention I can die very easily, I can't imagine trying to multibox it.

Naxx25 is actually easier than naxx10 in many ways, the fights are all exactly the same except for Razuvious (mind control priest instead of pillars) and minor other things (more adds on Anub, 2 blizzards on saphiron, Patchwerk hits way way harder, etc). I actually went in once and 5 manned the trash before Patchwerk, of course you can't really 5 man any of the bosses (yet... lol) but its a fun way to try and farm trash epics.

I've done all the bosses except 4 in Ulduar PTR, the first boss may actually be multiboxable -- when we first tested it you could actually solo it due to bugs on the vehicles, even after they have fixed those there are probably ways to do it with 3-4 characters, so it may be MBable. However later bosses are insanely hard for even soloers, don't think they will be boxable -- too much stuff like Kelthuzad where people have to move to certain spots immediately, spread out or collapse on short notice, swap tanks, etc.
