Sad to say but i am quitting the mb thing. Not on my own free will but cause of this damn economy. Lost my job and was able to keep 5 accounts going for 5 months thinking i was gonna get lucky with a job but no go. So sadly went thru all my accounts and canceled them. Today is truly a sad day for me. Although the bright side at least i still got my main main acount whew. So all i hope is i can get a job before all their game times expire and bring them back online. Cause one account is not as fun as mulitple. Each account had their own thing going for them and all professions maxed out lots n lots of work. So until then fellow boxers ciao hope to see you all again real soon.

Im a professional chef but with the economy lately the need for eating out has dropped a lot. So any cooking job i find is like well below what i want for pay and or not enough hours. On top of that we dont usually see a big crowd of people so i get easily bored if im not doing anything. So well see i guess imma have to find something else to do until this friggin economy jumps back into gear.

Good luck, I know it can be frustrating. I just noticed that your a chef, a buddy of mine had a personal chef associated with the doctors in the area come out and cook at his house for all his meals for 2 weeks at a time. The pay was pretty high since it's based on doctor contacts and planned meals to loose weight. The food was all purchased by the people he goes to see based on the shopping list he provides. He receives about 1800 for 8 hours of work (not including website meal planner costs and shopping list preps) in their kitchen, making 2 people meals for the 2 week time frame. The chef then reinforces this by offering a course on cooking after 2 months of personal chef duties. The reason it's not offered up front is because of how the doctors want it to sink into the people using the service that they need to know what they like so the chef can teach the techniques on those types of foods that they are ordering. I believe the course was about 400 to my friend and his wife. Since the guy stays busy I assume that his referrals (doctors) are busy too. Something that may or may not suit you, but it's out there just the same.

Not having a job is so ironic for boxing, I mean you have TONS of time to play, but no money to pay for it....
I hope you find something. I'd have to have to quit boxing, AND not be able to do anything else...

I work in the marketing dept. of a foodservice company, and some of the corporate chefs we work with make damned good money, from all kinds of places - cruise ships, Intel, Disney, hotels, colleges, and chefs who work for food companies.
It's not restaurant work, but it's good money, and some companies are still doing well.

Yea i have thought about it but im not big into corporate bs. I was once in the military and from what i have heard from friends is that the corporate bs is worse then the military. So i think i stay out of that. I am really trying to get my feet wet into the private chef buisness. If you get the right clientel its alot of money and you only have to cook for 4 hrs a day lol. They get the stuff and have you come over and cook for them and set the meal plans and all. So all i do is schedule costs for them and then i set up the meal plan for them to eat from each week and then come over their house 5-6 days a week to cook for them. Holidays of course are a ton more money cause i have to cook more and for more people. Although, with the economy i have a fall back plan for now and looking at working for shipping and recieving for a company. Did that in the military for gear and supplies so i know how to track invoices and make sure shit gets here when they want it and gets to its destination.
