Depression over Max Shadow damage test

Hello all,

I'll make this short. Plan lvl 4 locks and 1 shadow priest to lvl 70. Get seed of coruption and seed each mob with 4 seeds. With all at 41/20/0 locks.

This was for max farming, 5 man pvp, AV bg fun , etc. and hopefully some 5 man pve.

it appears after being a 70 for about 2 weeks now only one of the seeds works. Since all are applied to same target, and they all go at same time , I only get damage for one and not 4.

Now the damage is still great 1500-3000 per mob hit, inside the blast area, but I wanted that x4.

have any of 4 lock teams tried this for fun?


I think I may have to go to SL and 5 man pvp based on dot nerf and now this.

I've been doing this here and there. I tried doing different seeds on different mobs but it just wasted time. Now, I just sic the pets, cast SoC on the first mob then immediately cast SoC on another mob that I hope won't die. Sometimes it works. If you have a pack of mobs with one hard mob in the middle, just drop Corruption on the hard one, then stack 8 SoC's on him. It'll kill off all the rest.

FYI, SoC only does DoT damage to the mob it is on. The Explosion only hits other mobs around him. Also, the SoC won't go off until the target receives 1200 damage.

I understand that each is doing 1200 damage or so to the traget , when traget dies or has reached to max amount of dot damage , I wanted all four to explode at 1500-3000 x 4 for 6000-12000 damge per target in blast range. Since this also corp damage you can not put another corp dot on same target, it appears to over write the damage.

anyway , its funner than heck going into SM seeding the boss and up to 4 others then boom all dead, even better than mage aoe.

Drop seeds then deathcoil with one and KABOOM.

thats a shame i did have hopes of fireing off multiple seeds on one person for some double bangs,

this is probably simular to how curses dont stack (coa stack) like wouldnt it be great to have 4 COT's on a paladin hehe, or 4 COS for a 40% buff to your shadow damage.

i did think that they should take the damage, so im glad to hear that they do stack, was alittle downer from the first post :p

All stack on mob or pvper but all go off at once. combat long only show one damage hit on mob 1500-3000. will test more before respec.

i think you would knowtice rught away if one or 4 seeds were going off, 4 seeds would pretty much kill most mobs.

maybe if you stagger the casts?

Not relevant. Combat log only shows that because you're out of range I'm guessing. My combat log definitely shows 4x seeds going off. ;)
