[Addon] TeamInventory - Inventory Management for your team.

TeamInventory is a World of Warcraft addon that allows you to view your whole parties inventory. It is still in development, currently it has the following features:
Display all of your party members bags in one window.
Filter by item type


Planned features included:
Option to display only certain party member's inventory
Display bank and bag items.
Search by name


A screenshot and download link can be found on CurseForge (http://wow.curseforge.com/projects/teaminventory/). You need to install the addon on all characters you want to see the inventory from. Use /ti toggle to show/hide the main window.

Have you looked at Altoholic ('http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info8533-Altoholic.html')? It does what you are doing and a lot more, too much more imo as it quickly becomes a pig. It might be a good place to get inspiration from.

Altaholic tends to clear itself of saved info randomly. Its nice - but always leads to a lot of busy work switching toons to recapture the information.

I enjoy Altaholic and haven't had it lose the data as long as I use it only for regular accounts. But, when I use the data exchange mode to share inventory with a friend or guild member, it seems to corrupt the data file and then begins to crash for both users. I have to delete prefs and start over.

In this dual-boxing forum, I'd like to see a super simple add-on that allows the party leader to set loot to free-for-all and then shows a combined inventory as this TeamInventory does, but also allows redistribution of the leader's bags among the other team members.

I multi-box a pally, 3 shaman, and a druid, and during instance runs end up giving all the expensive greys to the druid, but can only transfer them six at a time. I'd be nice to have a macro or button to hand off inventory, and it'd be nice to have a button to ask for inventory back, allowing the party leader to manage the group's inventory.

Frankly, TeamInventory be handy when playing with my family as well. :-) I'm the disenchanter in our family team, and the guy who runs Auctioneer, so I'm the only one with valid tooltip data for disenchant versus vendor versus AH. Being able to mange the inventory would make visits back to town go much faster.

does Altoholic also update from other accounts that you have parallel loaded ?

Altoholic only gets data from the other accounts when you manually choose to transfer the data, and they both have to be logged in simultaneously.

If this addon is able to keep the cross-account data up to date on the fly automatically it might be able to compete with my current method of just opening everyone's bags simultaneously and just looking around.the screens manually.
Though, it sounds like a all-in-one-bag solution which I have never been a fan of even for single characters in the first place, so we'll see I guess.
