I have lots of ideas about what to do with HP products, laptops and PCs, but none of them will help you in your situation :(

How many beeps? And at what point specifically?

seems a lot of the time its 3 when it starts booting, other times its a random amount, mite be 5, or up to 10

and yeah i got an idea aswell, im looking at selling it :p should be able to pick up a cheap as PC from somewhere im sure. im just trying to make my 3 boxing easier by having a healer on a seperate box/keyboard

Give a good listen next time. See if it is one long and two short beeps. My best guess is RAM. The last place I worked was a Dell certified repair center and 3 of 5 laptop we worked on were HP, lol. Most of the time it was RAM or those uber cheap hard drives they used to use. I found this article that might be useful for you, maybe not; http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01087277&lc=en&cc=us.

I have the same laptop. The heatsink is very inefficient and poorly placed. The heatsink literally cooks the motherboard if the laptop is on for more than 2 hours. Call HP. They had to replace my motherboard for the black screen issue.

They had to replace my motherboard for the black screen issue. But at the same time, try removing one ram stick at a time, that could be a temporary fix as the beeps indicate a memory failure. (most likely caused by excessive heat) I hate this laptop and will never buy an HP again.

Edit- Sorry my pc just lagged hard (im at work running reports) posted way too many times.
