Typically I attempt to map out what gear I want for each of my toons (5 different classes) so I have a plan of attack. It makes it so much easier to distribute the loot when I take down a boss in an instance [or when I go shopping].
Initially, I was using lootrank ('http://www.lootrank.com/wr.asp') and wowhead (I also used dwarfpriest.com ('http://dwarfpriest.com/') and maintankadin.com ('http://maintankadin.failsafedesign.com/viewtopic.php?t=18989') )to help me determine the best gear I can get pre-Naxx BoP items. However, I went back and checked out the results from Rawr ('http://www.codeplex.com/Rawr'). They are quite different and now I am a bit confused on some pieces for my characters. Obviously, I don't want to spend money or emblems on things I don't really need - and I want to get the most useful upgrade when I get them.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone uses Rawr?? if not, what do you use to plan your "gear goals"???
Spell hit is also another issue for me. Mostly because this is often calculated into loot rankings and of course you can lose out on other stats because of this.
Are you gearing for spell hit for raiding?? or do you keep multiple sets of gear for raiding and heroics due to the difference in spell hit requirements??
Ultimately it probably doesn't matter that much, but I like to do the best I can.
Cheers.
