Hey,
Was trolling the dev forums and noticed a spiel which leans towards renaming spells ('http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=447365') to be a generic spell name for a spell line with just romans numerals to designate spell potency - great idea imho
I also noticed in the thread that it appears the next expac is slated for a Nov release - knowing SoE from past experiences, that probably means late Nov to early Dec - I assume it won't be later than as I honestly can't see SoE wanting to miss the Christmas rush

That's freaking awesome, and the reason why I'm being pulled into the game, their xpac's are under a year between each other or even faster. The content is just churning out non stop and on top of that the best of the best guilds still are unable to clear the highest content, which always leaves you salivating for more.

Gah.. .I haven't even picked up TSO yet. :P
Speaking of that, I know the content is geared towards 80s, but is/are there any thing(s) (like AP/talents) that I am missing out on?
I don't mind upgrading it..I'm just lazy. :whistling:

Looks like the naming convention is almost definate. Polling is now open to decide base spell names :
SOE Says ('http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=448382&post_id=4993697#4993697') -
As mentioned in this thread, we will be going to a standard spell naming convention. Please follow the link below to vote on your favorite spell names for any class you play.
VOTE!
Just as a general disclaimer, the voting on spell names is not necessarily the absolute winner. We can choose another name if desired but hopefully that won't be an issue.
Voting is rather a hackjob because there's so damned many spells, but here's the forums :

Troubador ('http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/forums/show.m?forum_id=2726')
On another note, they are looking to make it so that this effects macros ('http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=447365&post_id=4994065#4994065'), so no more having to redo them every time you ding.

Since we're on the topic of spell names and what not, when we use usability can you make it so that if you do say /useability Despotic Mind, it will do the highest level one, rather than having to do /useability Despotic Mind I/II/II for all three of them? This makes it much easier to do certain things, especially with the modding community
That was one of the things I wanted to do infact :)
Yea for us!

We can apply some logic to the amount of AAs required if you don't have TSO - simply, aim for the AA cap of the highest expac you have...this would mean you'd do pretty well in that expac's dungeons
So we know that RoK capped out at 140AA - therefore, you'd do pretty well with this amount - But - of course, if you had 200AA, you'd do more than 'pretty well' in RoK dungeons
The TSO aas are a great boost to DPS for most classes meaning faster pwning in the 'old worlds'
